Birds Nestling In The Garden

We were thinking of having beef noodles for breakfast but were disappointed to find the shop closed for renovation. We drove on to another place near the Jelapang wet market to buy Hong Kong chee cheong fun (steamed rice rolls with filling).

We bought 2 portions of Hong Kong chee cheong fun with bbq pork and prawns for filling.
The sauce, sambal and toppings were packed separately.
We also bought some stuffed items from the next stall that sells economy noodles.

Simple lunch
Boiled potatoes and cauliflower salad with Kewpie roasted sesame dressing.

Takeaway dinner for 2 people.
Fried noodle for sharing.
2 pieces of fried chicken for sharing.

Thanks to my friend for the following photos.
One morning he noticed a bird moving in his Water Jasmine plant.
He zoomed in with his phone camera and saw this bird sitting in her nest.
When the mama bird was not around, he went near to check and saw 2 little eggs in the nest.
One day, he hear chirping coming from the Water Jasmine plant. He waited till mama bird was not around and he saw 2 little chicks napping in the nest.
The next time he went to look, they were awake.
This little one keeping an eye on him.
The next time he checked, the chicks were clothed with beautiful feathers.
They were so cute, my friend couldn't resist and he gently scooped up one chick to hold in his hand. The chicks looked calm and were not scared. Very soon, the chicks will be leaving their nest.
My friend googled and forwarded the above information to me.
All photos credited to BKC.

Jesus asked, "How can I describe the Kingdom of God?
What story shall I use to illustrate it?
It is like a tiny mustard seed!
Though this is one of the smallest of seeds,
yet it grows to become one of the largest of plants,
with long branches where birds
can build their nests and be sheltered."

Savoury Glutinous Rice With Chicken Curry & Lui Cha Pan Mee

We started our morning walk early. No sign of sunrise, probably another cloudy day.

Breaking of dawn at 6:50am.
After morning, we drove to Menglembu to buy breakfast because hubby wanted to eat yellow glutinous rice with chicken curry.
We were told that the yellow or turmeric glutinous rice (nasi kunyit) was sold out. Hubby settled for the savoury glutinous rice and the chicken curry and was charged only RM5.
Hubby's breakfast.
We drove back to our own area and I bought the above Lui Cha Pan Mee aka Thunder Tea Pan Mee. The green soup is made from blended herbs e.g. basil and etc.
I added the lui cha soup and ingredient to the noodle.
I enjoy this noodle but its a no, no for hubby.
I harvested the above green brinjals and okra to add to the fish curry for dinner.
I spotted this big grasshopper clinging onto this green brinjal.
On another morning I saw this clinging onto the pole I used to support the brinjal plant.
I think it is the same one that was clinging onto the brinjal.
This is the 2nd portion of the fish curry that I ordered for the previous day dinner. I added in the brinjals and okra.
Remaining lettuce with roasted sesame dressing.
Delicious dinner for 2 people.
No need to sweat in the kitchen.
This was my okra plant when it started to bear okras.
It is now about 4 months old and it has grown very tall and the okras getting smaller. I shortened the okra plant. New branches appeared sideways and are now bearing okras.
Again I saw the grasshopper feeding on the okra leaf.
I zoomed in for a closer look.
It looks like an alien from outer space.

The Lord says: Be fair-minded. Do what is right!
Help those in need of justice! Quit your evil deeds!
Protect the rights of aliens and immigrants, orphans and widows;
stop murdering the innocent!

Fish Curry & Lettuce For Dinner

I was busy taking snapshots of the sky throughout my morning walk. I hope I will not bore you with so many sky shots.

Morning sky at 7am.
Sunlight on the mist on the Kledang Hill top at 7:20am.
Mist covered Kledang Hill top with the transmission towers.
Hubby was walking ahead of me.
Sunrise at 7:27am
Fluffy white cloud with gray cloud.
More fluffy white cloud.

7:35am
8am
Is this buttermilk cloud?
On the way, we bought spicy fried noodle from the roadside stall for breakfast. Hubby had fried yellow noodle, I had the beehoon. We ate direct from the wrapper.
Ornamental Okra growing in the same pot with the Cup of Gold plant.
This is the ornamental okra pod.
These are the flower buds of the ornamental okra.
More flower buds and okra pods.
Ornamental okra flowers and Cup of Gold flowers.
Ornamental Okra is also known as Musk Mallow, Musk Okra, Rose Mallow, and Tropical Jewel Hibiscus.
~~~~~
That evening because I called to order a tub of our favourite fish curry.
This tub is enough for 4 people. We took 2 meals to finish this curry.
Lots of oil floating on the surface. The red oil makes the curry looks beautiful. I have to slowly skim off the oil from the curry.
I scooped a portion of the fish curry for dinner.
Home prepared Cameron green lettuce for salad with Kewpie roasted sesame dressing. I didn't even steam rice, bought the rice from the restaurant when I collected the fish curry. It was an appetizing and satisfying dinner.
My son, never forget the things I've taught you.
If you want a long and satisfying life, closely follow my instructions.
Never tire of loyalty and kindness. Hold these virtues tightly.
Write them deep within your heart.
If you want favor with both God and man,
and a reputation for good judgment and common sense,
then trust the Lord completely; don't ever trust yourself.
In everything you do, put God first,
and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.
(Proverbs 3:1-6, The Living Bible-TLB)
