Whenever I am at the recreational park, the first thing I look out for is the sunrise. Some days, the gloomy sky will block out the sunrise but most days, we get to see some lovely sunrises.
This photo was snapped about 3 years ago.

There was a wedding ceremony held in church last Saturday which we couldn't attend but we were able to attend the wedding dinner held at Sun Lee How Fook, Ipoh. I managed to take quick snapshots of some of the dishes only.
The dinner started with this first dish consisting of 4 to 5 varieties.
Followed by a soup served individually. It has an abalone, shredded dried scallop, 1 big sized black mushroom, a piece of fish maw, etc.
Next, we had roast piglet with crispy thin skin, served with mantou (small steamed bun). You can either choose to dip in chili sauce or the sweet black sauce.
Steamed Grouper fish.
So sorry, the fish head was facing me when I snapped this photo.
Deep fried prawn coated with crispy strips served with smoked duck slices, lychee & mango salad as shown in the photo below.
After this, I missed out a few dishes including the glutinous rice which was mostly untouched because we were filled up to the brim. The rice was packed and someone voluntarily tapau "take away" so as not to waste the food.
The dinner ended with sweet dessert consisting of pancake with sweet filling
And a sweet soup consisting of ginseng roots, dried longan, red dates, peach gum and etc. I like this sweet drink and hope to get hold of a good recipe.
A Cleome Spider flower from my garden.
Talking about wedding, when this Cleome Spider flower is in full bloom, it looks like a bunch of bouquet.
Let me tell you how happy God has made me!
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and
draped about me the robe of righteousness.
I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit or
a bride with her jewels.
(Isaiah 61:10, The Living Bible-TLB)

DeleteAlways nice to attend wedding dinners! Assuming not too many at the same time, that is.
ReplyDeleteIf too many at the same time will go bankrupt lo!

DeleteI always like the first dish at a wedding dinner. Wow! Your Cleome is still doing very well and it's so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Phong Hong! I am surprised that baby Cleome plants keep appearing. I suppose it is the dispersed seeds that keep sprouting out from the ground.
DeleteUma mesa bem composta e aproveito para desejar uma boa semana.
