We went to Jack & Grill Steak House at Jalan Datoh, Ipoh, because I was attracted to their special lunch set promotion. I got hubby to have lunch with me at this place which is not very far from our house. Parking is convenient and the place is air conditioned and quiet. The set lunch consists of a main dish, soup, drink and 1 scoup of ice cream.
Hubby's iced honey lemon and mushroom soup.
Hubby's Cola Jumbo Chicken Leg - RM 19.90
Mushroom soup and hot honey lemon for me.
Twelve Spice Chicken (half) with rice and egg - RM 19.90
This was a bit too dry for me because there was no gravy for the rice.
I didn't take picture of ice-cream.
Total cost - RM 39.80.
A dry crust eaten in peace is better
than steak every day along with argument and strife.

DeleteGives a whole new meaning to "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?!"
ReplyDeleteIs there an official answer?
DeleteIt looks good to me...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rose.
DeleteReminds me of jack's place in sg. I like the bible verse that comes along with it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Libby. Anything to have peace.
DeleteI suppose can ask for some kind of gravy.
ReplyDeleteYa, I think I should have.
DeletePass the gravy. I don't like dry. Hubby and I had Chinese food the other day and it was all dry. Very disappointing.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, Nancy. ♥
Thank you, Sandee. Have a great weekend!
Deletehalf a chicken plus rice is a bit too much for me. No rice for the other chicken dish that your husband ordered.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting no rice but turned out with rice.
DeleteIt looks very good, like homemade.
ReplyDeleteSimple and nice lunch.
DeleteSo, so yum!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Natalia.

DeleteYour beautiful pictures of food leave me a bit hungry!
ReplyDeleteActually, I am hungry too. It lunch time!
DeleteWow, sounds (and looks) delicious. But like you, I would've wanted gravy on that rice. Your husband's honey lemon beverage looks so refreshing! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jenny. Have a great weekend!
