Today is the 4th day confined to the house. Not really a total one because hubby went out to the nearby shop to buy bread and eggs for our breakfast. This afternoon, I drove out to town to make some payment through the ATM machine at the bank. The whole place was very quiet with only a few cars on the road.
For the past few days, we have been having half boiled eggs, bread with peanut butter or jam with hot milo or coffee. As for tomorrow's breakfast, hubby has requested for burger for his bread. For the time being, all 3 main meals will be prepared in my kitchen until the movement control order is lifted. Pray that the situation will not worsen.

Here are 2 types of breakfast that I took before we were house bound:
1st breakfast - Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun
This is steamed flat rice noodle with bbq pork as filling, served with soy sauce and spicy sambal paste. I took this one day after I had my tooth extracted.
2nd breakfast - Pan Mee in Herbal Soup (Lui Cha Pan Mee).
I love this herbal soup noodle but hubby would not even want to touch it.
This is unsweetened coffee with evaporated milk (Kopi C Kosong). I used to drink coffee everyday but now, I am cutting down on my coffee intake.
When I was watering my plants, this big grasshopper suddenly flew out of the Water Jasmine plant and landed on the wheel of my car. It didn't move even after I took this snapshot.

Because of his great power he rules forever.
He watches every movement of the nations.
O rebel lands, he will deflate your pride.
Let everyone bless God and sing his praises;
for he holds our lives in his hands,
and he holds our feet to the path.

Hello, your breakfast looks delicious. I could not give up my coffee.
ReplyDeleteCute capture of the grasshopper. Thanks for linking up and sharing your post. Stay safe and healthy! Enjoy your day, happy weekend. PS, thank you for the comment.
Thank you, Eileen. Instead of drinking coffee everyday, I only drink about once or twice a week. Hope to maintain it this way so as not to get addicted to it. Have a great week.
DeleteHave a lovely weekend, Nancy 😊

DeleteAt first i was wondering why the pan mee soup looks so green, then saw that it is lui cha pan mee soup. Had tried lui cha once, not really into it.
ReplyDeleteMany don't like lui cha. But I do enjoy it.
Delete...stay safe and well Nancy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom. You too stay safe and well.
DeleteWe go through the drive-thru 2 or 3ctimes a week, and I have been in the store twice this week...different stores. But other than that we are staying home. I pray for us all to stay safe and virus free.
ReplyDeleteYes, we only go out when necessary. Other than that we better stay home and avoid possible contact unnecessary.
DeleteWhy are you cutting down on your copi intake?
ReplyDeleteI find that if I take less coffee, I am able to sleep better.
DeleteAmen.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
DeleteThis is such a hard time for all of us. I have never seen a grasshopper with a pattern!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny. We have to wait till the crisis is over. Its big and with unique pattern.
DeleteI hope you have everything you need my friend. Take care of yourselves and stay healthy. Hugs from Florida, Diane

Thank you, Monica.
DeleteI think in the next few days, I might get tired of my own cooking. LOL!
ReplyDeleteMe too. When that happens I might go to nearby shops to take away some food. You can order through food delivery for a change.
DeleteThe Chee Cheong Fun looks so yummy!
ReplyDeleteTastes yummy!
DeleteI never had lui cha pan mee. Interesting combination.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind having it once in a while. This is the only stall selling this in my area.
DeleteYeah, pray that the covid will leave the earth soon! Miss our outings!
ReplyDeleteYa! I am beginning to feel lazy to cook.
DeleteEspero que todo vaya muy bien. Besitos y salud.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Teresa.
DeleteWe are trying total social isolation, too, but it's not always possible.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it is not totally possible but trying our best especially when in the stores. The only way is go to less crowded places.
DeleteLooks good Nancy. I'm feeling alone at the moment. I hope this virus disappears soon. Stay safe my friend.

We are all feeling alone in our house bound condition because we miss meeting our friends and love ones. We can still stay connected through social media and phone calls. Stay healthy and stay safe.
DeleteÅšliczny konik polny. Jedzenie wyglÄ…da pysznie:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lucyna.
DeleteLife is still good, just a tad more scary
ReplyDeleteI agree. Hope the situation will improve soon.
DeletePraying we all stay well. That is one big grasshopper!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mimi.
DeleteI love chong fan (how we call it here in Chinatown Manila). The sauce makes it so much tastier!
ReplyDeleteI so miss your blog Nancy, Haven't been blog hopping in a while but I'm happy I did today and went here. We are also in a lockdown and I am now on my 12th day today inside the house. I do miss the outside world but as long as I'm with family (and the internet), I'm all good. Also, more time enabled me to re-open an old Daily Photo Blog of mine. I wish you only the best out there and sending hugs from the Philippines!

ReplyDeleteAfter buying all the essentials, I am now staying home until the next trip out.
