Fish Noodles, Figs, & Home Cooked Taro With Pumpkin Dish

Yesterday morning (112th day MCO), just before we started out on our morning walk, our friend called to inform that they will be joining us at the park.
6:35 am
We have the street lights and a bright moon shining over us as we walked from our house to the park which is about 15 minutes walk.
Breaking of dawn at 6:50 am
Morning sky at the park.
~~~~~
Breakfast
After morning walk at the lake park, we took our friends to Restoran Huan Le for fish noodles and fried noodle.
I bought the above savoury rice flour kuih from a roadside stall to try.
~~~~~
Back home in my garden
Purple Jordan figs
Purple Jordan figs from different plant.
~~~~~
Sweet snacks (neen koh) from Bercham
4 pieces fried neen koh and 1 piece fried taro.
This delicious snack is made with a piece of glutinous rice cake sandwiched between 2 pieces of taro, dipped in batter and then deep fried. Watch out for the hot melted glutinous rice cake that might ooze out after you have taken a bite.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner
Stewed taro and pumpkin with garlic and dried prawns.
We tasted this dish when we were dining at a restaurant recently.
Vegetables soup (baby green amaranth & napa cabbage) with minced meat balls and dried prawns.
Sambal dried prawn.
Simple yet satisfying dinner (without rice) for 2 people.

My child, never forget the things I have taught you.
Store my commands in your heart.
If you do this, you will live many years,
and your life will be satisfying.
(Proverbs 3:1-2, New Living Translation-NLT)

  5. Nice early walk to the park. The fish noodles must taste good. May you harvest many sweet figs. I often wait till the deep fried nian gao cools down before eating so it won't ooze out. Delicious taro pumpkin dish for dinner. Love your vegetables soup too. You must be very full after dinner if all the food are finished cos the yam pumpkin is very filling. Were you very full after dinner?

    1. That is the best time to eat when the neen koh oozes out. Full, yes but not that full because it is not a very big plate of taro.
