Soy Sauce Prawns, Steamed Lala & Home Grown Vegetables

On this particular morning, we went for our morning walk. After we had walked enough, we walked home without taking any breakfast because we had breakfast appointment with our friends. We went home, took a shower and drove to our friend's house.

Sunrise at 7:30 am.
On the way out, we stopped to buy some roast pork for breakfast.
That morning, we tried something new. Hubby and I shared this bowl of noodle that tasted like lor mee and they served it with black vinegar.
Later in the morning, I bought some langsat (local fruit) from a roadside stall in my area.
That morning, I harvested the above white brinjals from my garden.
~~~~~
That evening, I had friends over for a home cooked dinner.
Steamed home grown white brinjals, sprinkled with garlic oil and drizzled with oyster and soy sauce.
Sauteed broccoli with some minced pork and garlic.
Soy sauce prawns with spring onion and chives. Our friend contributed these big prawns bought from the evening market.
Lala or clams cooked Thai style which is sweet, sour and spicy. Every complained that they couldn't get enough of the appetizing broth.
Delicious and satisfying no rice dinner for 4 people.
This mural was painted on the wall surrounding a school in my area.  The mural depicts a classroom scene. A teacher teaching the students in a classroom.
Chicken Soup, Sambal Petai, Steamed Pork & Angled Luffa
This is another one of our shared and combined dinner with our friend that we had in my house. I prefer to cook because I need to use up the produce from my garden when they are fresh harvested. If kept in the fridge for too long, they lose their freshness and natural sweetness.
My friend wanted to contribute a pot of chicken soup. She bought a free range chicken to boil this delicious soup for 4 people.
From my kitchen....
"Who ever heard of someone lighting a lamp
and then covering it up to keep it from shining?
Vegetarian Lunch & Indian Food Dinner
It was a Thursday and we accompanied our friends to a vegetarian lunch. I mentioned a place that my sister-in-law used to patronize to my friend. Our friends haven't been there and they were keen to taste the food there. This vegetarian restaurant is Qi Fu Healthy Park Vegetarian, opposite Aeon Kinta City.
Our friends ordered the following items.
Wat tan hor (flat rice noodle with thick egg gravy)
Fried rice, can't remember the name of this dish.
Mixed vegetable in fermented bean curd (nam yue).
Crispy deep fried vegetarian goose.
Crispy deep fried spring rolls.
After lunch, we parted with our friends and planned to meet up for dinner again in Ipoh old town at Restoran Old Town Capati, Jalan Bandar Timah.
This is my first time eating in this place.
Fried rice vermicelli
Deep fried vadai
2 sets of chapati
1 set dosa
Chicken curry.
The above dinner was for 4 people.
Breakfast At 338 Food Court, Falim, Ipoh
We saw a posting on Facebook about a new eatery in Falim. I recognized the place because we have been there a few times but each time it was a new eatery. We love curry noodles and we wanted to try this curry noodle. We visited not once but twice in the same week but with different friends.
I ordered curry noodle-soup version, and hubby ordered the dry curry noodle.
The dry version is more of the dark + light soy sauce plus some thick curry gravy.
For me, if I were to eat curry noodle, I must have the soup version.
My kopi-C kosong.
It is coffee with evaporated milk without sugar.
Where Can You Find Affordable Bridesmaid Dresses?
How fast time passes us by! It is like in the twinkling of an eye, we are in coming to the end of September, and in about a week’s time, we will enter the month of October. Once we are in October, we have only less than 2 months to Christmas and the year 2021 will be upon us. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been under the movement control order (MCO) starting since March and will be until the end of this year. Whether the movement control order will continue into the New Year will depends on how safe is the situation in our nation.
Even though with the MCO in place, life goes on and weddings are taking place but in smaller scale. Large gathering and grand celebration are not approved and the number of guest attending is very much limited. We have been invited to a wedding which will be held next month and going through my wardrobe, I could find a decent dress to wear for the wedding. So it is time to shop and the most convenient way is to go online.
I visited some dresses stores online and I came to this Alfabridal website. I like what I saw displayed on the website. The design of the dresses are to my style and I have a few to consider before deciding which to buy. I am attracted to the “buy 5 get 6” and I hope to be able to find 6 dresses which I like. With this offer of buying 5 to get 6 dresses, I think this is the best place to buy affordable dresses from the wide selection of bridesmaid dresses.
The dresses are of sewed from various materials and I can choose from the chiffon, velvet, floral or satin. I can various colours to choose from the many long and short dresses. I can either choose the dresses in plain colour or dresses in floral prints.
Dinner For 4 At Asow Eatery Station, Jalan Ampang Baru, Ipoh
We had planned a dinner at Asow Eatery Station for 6 people on a Tuesday evening. A friend had called to make reservation for 6 people. Later another call was made to change the reservation to only 4 people because the other 2 were not able to make it.
A table for 4 people were reserved for us.
Once seated, we ordered our food.
A friend and I ordered this grilled chicken aglio olio.
The camera must do its work first before we can start to eat.
Another friend ordered this grilled salmon dish.
Hubby ordered grilled lamb
And I get to eat the carrot and the corn.
Thank you, friend for this wonderful dinner treat.
One morning, I spotted this big grasshopper feeding on my hibiscus leaf. Even when I went near, it didn't flew away. Instead, it clung on tightly to the hibiscus plant.
Chee Cheong Fun For Breakfast In Jelapang
My friend has been telling me about the chee cheong fun (steamed flat rice flour noodle) from Jelapang. She has been to this place to takeaway the chee cheong fun and she highly recommended it to me.
Sunrise at 7:35 am
On this particular morning, we didn't go for the morning walk. So I suggested to hubby that we can go try the Jelapang chee cheong fun.
This place is just next to the Jelapang wet market at Jalan Taiping.
First, we ordered some roast pork from the stall next to the entrance.
Then, we ordered our coffee. While waiting for the chee cheong fun, we enjoyed the roast pork and coffee.
Served with very tasty sambal. They are generous with the sambal. Can request for more if not enough.
The chee cheong fun is worth a return trip and can try the food from other stalls too.
