Stew, Blanch, Steam, Fry & Bake Just For 1 Meal.

This is another pot bless or pot luck dinner we had with our friends. We informed each other what we were going to cook. We usually used whatever we have available in our fridge to cook the dishes. Here are the dishes I contributed to the dinner.

Stewed pork and home grown white and green bitter gourd with salted black beans and salted soy beans.
Blanched home grown white brinjals (eggplants), okra and French beans given by a friend.
Steamed egg and tofu.
~~~~~
The following dishes were contributed by our friend.
Fried otak-otak.
Fried white pomfrets.
She also baked and brought along some cup cakes.
~~~~~
We had dinner at about 4 pm because we didn't had any lunch. After washing up after dinner, we watched TV, chatted and then we droved over to the nearby food court to have some chilled dessert.
Hubby and I shared this cream corn with ice shaving.
~~~~~
Sharing some plants photos here.
Found this spotted caladiums by the roadside.
Water Jasmine (multi layered petals) flower from my garden.
It is possible to give away and become richer!
It is also possible to hold on too tightly and lose everything.
Yes, the liberal man shall be rich!
By watering others, he waters himself.
  2. Some of your meals are so strange to me, living where I do. Cream corn with ice shavings is something I would never think of as dessert. I'm curious; what is mixed into it? Beautiful Water Jasmine.
    1. Just some ice shaving, a few spoonful of canned cream corn, some sugar syrup and evaporated milk will make a very delicious dessert especially on hot days.
  10. Love your dishes especially your homegrown vegetables. The deep fried pomfret must be costly. The corn ice dessert looks so good. The caladium by the roadside has pretty colours. Do the white jasmine flowers emit a very strong sweet fragrance?
