Bak Kut Teh Brunch, Johor Premium Outlets & Desserts

As usual, I don't sleep well when away from home especially on the first night. So, it is normal that I was up very early the next morning. Surprisingly, I was not the only one. The 3 of us decided to go for our early morning walk.

Mural on the wall.
It was a nice leisure walk in the cool morning. We walked almost 3 km and by then, we are ready for a hearty breakfast or brunch.
~~~~~
At Kedai Bak Kut Teh Hin Hock, we had the following for brunch.
Steamed fish with generous topping of crispy friend garlic.
Herbal Pork Soup (bak kut teh) served with crispy fried bean curd sheets.
Moved the bean curd sheets aside to reveal the hidden treasures.
Green veggie (bok choy) blanched.
Stewed pig's leg in clay pot.
Some had white rice and some had taro rice.
Breakfast cum lunch (brunch) to last us till dinner.
~~~~~
After brunch, we made our way to Johor Premium outlets with the help of Waze.
Johor Premium Outlets.
After this, we will be looking forward to the opening of the Premium Outlets in Perak, hopefully in the near future.
~~~~~
Again, we relied on Waze to take us to Joo Yee (Tan Kee Pelangi) for dessert. We misjudged and took 2 wrong turnings before we reached the destination.
We ordered 2 bowls of ginkgo sweet drink.
A bowl of red beans with chocolate topping which we can't find in Ipoh.
Rojak (fruit salad with peanut sauce).
Thanks to Waze, we were able to make our way around without getting lost.
~~~~~
Back home....
I took snapshots of the above rooster on one of our morning walk.
This rooster seemed to enjoy posing for my camera.

There are three things that walk with stately stride - no,
four that strut about: the lion, king od animals,
who won't turn aside for anything, the strutting rooster,
the male goat, a king as he leads his army.
(Proverbs 30:29-31, New Living Translation-NLT)

  23. Chocolate and red bean is a unique combo! Oh that reminds me of food I like in Johor.... yau char kwai with rojak sauce, and goreng pisang with a black chilli sauce. Not something I can order online haha.
