Another warm and humid morning. The sky looked like it was going to rain but there was no rain at all.
Morning sky at 7:45am.
Before returning home from morning walk, we walked to the shop to buy the above items for breakfast.
Pretty yellow flowers hanging over the concrete wall of the garden of a house that we pass by every morning.

Lunch
To heat up the leftover rendang pork and potato, I steamed it covered.
I cooked 2 packets of instant Indomie noodle.
I also steamed the one and only curry chicken bun that was left in the fridge.

Dinner
Feeling tired and lazy due to the hot and humid weather, not in the mood to cook.
Hubby went out to buy wonton noodle from Buntong.
Add extra wonton or meat dumplings.
For wonton noodle, pickled green chili is a must for me.
This was our dinner.
We have been eating this wonton noodle for many years. The first generation has retired and now the business is run by the daughter and son.

In time to catch the sunset when I took the garbage out.

DeleteCooking takes a lot of time and efforts, it is ok to rest once in a while and dabao food from outside. The yellow flowers look so gorgeous.

DeleteWhat do you eat the yeutiao with? I usually will eat it with kaya or condensed milk. Are the other two kuehs the same or two different types? The one on the right looks like mang ngee (horse hoof) but the shape is not exactly the same as the ones we have here.
ReplyDeleteI usually eat the yeutiao by itself especially when it is freshly fried and crispy. Or I will dip it into hot kopi-O. On the left is the hum chim peang with red bean paste filling and on the right is the horse hoof or mah keok.

It is true that home cooked meals taste better than those in restaurants. Once in a while we do like to dine in the restaurants but if we do it too often, we get bored. Have a good weekend.

DeleteI like to eat the slippery wontons. Does your curry chicken bao have an aluminum foil container inside the bao? From the size of it, I suspect not. Is that correct?
