Chicken Herbal Soup & Fried Rice For Dinner

Time really flies. Even though we are under MCO, the days, weeks, and months seems to pass by so quickly. Even though there is nothing exciting happening, I wouldn't say that life is boring for us. Every morning we look forward to our morning walk. After breakfast, I will spend some time in the garden. Housework, blogging and blog hopping, and etc. will take up a portion of my time. The amount of tasks accomplished will depend on my mood. It all depends on whether I am diligent or in lazy mode. Okay, back to my post.

Sunrise at 7:10am
7:15am
We need to take the car out because we want to buy takeaway breakfast with the food carrier.
Hakka noodle with stewed sweet sour pork trotter for hubby @ RM5.80
Mee sua with pork + daikon + peppercorn soup for me @ RM5.
Both the noodles were bought from the same stall.
4 pieces of yam bean fritters @ 90 cents per piece.
We bought these from another shop.
We kept these for our lunch.
When it comes to food, so thankful that we are spoiled for choice.
Steamed fresh corn mixed with butter and salt for lunch.

Dinner
Herbal chicken soup
Ingredients used: 1 free range chicken, yuk chuk (Solomon's seal), goji berries, and red dates.
Fried Rice with onions, dried shrimps, and eggs.
I don't have leftover rice in the fridge so I pre-steamed the rice in the afternoon.
Condiments: Bird's eye chilies in soy sauce and spicy dried shrimp.
I love fried rice with chilies in soy sauce.

A friend sent me these moth pictures.

Because of his kindness,
you have been saved through trusting Christ.
And even trusting is not of yourselves;
it too is a gift from God.
Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done,
so none of us can take any credit for it.

  1. Not only are there many choices for you but the prices are also very affordable for the pork trotter and pork daikon noodles. May I know the name of the coffee shop that this stall resides in? Sorry if u have mentioned it before and I have forgotten.

  2. I love all you food, as usual LOL! I was also never bored staying home during MCO except that I had work piling up and could not wait to get back to the office. If I were retired, I would happily continue MCO at home hah..hah.. That moth is quite beautiful.

    1. I think by now, many have gotten used to WFH. There is no need to rush to work in the morning and rushing home after work. So much time wasted in the traffic jam travelling to and from work.

  3. Yam bean fritters look good. I spot a prawn, that's nice!

I like to pound my dried shrimps for my fried rice but I wake up 4 or 5 a.m. and everyone is still asleep so I just use ikan bilis instead. If I make so much noise pounding, I will wake everybody up. LOL!!!

    1. I like fried rice with ikan bilis and add in some chopped bird's eye chilies. Yums! But hubby doesn't like ikan bilis. Too lazy to take out the pounder, so I just chopped the dried shrimp or just leave them whole.

  10. Time flies for me too. I have my books, my houseworks, blogging and blog hopping to pass time. Plus I am still WFH. Work and leisure so it is a good balance. You are enjoying your retirement days too with your love for gardening and cooking.

I love to eat fried rice with eggs, onions and luncheon meat. Simple dish yet so delicious.

The moths I saw are usually black or brown colour. Seldom see how such a beautiful moth with pattern some more. Nice close up shots of the moth.
