On this particular morning, there was no sunrise to greet me when we started out on our morning walk.
The birds were early - 7:05am.
I managed to capture some flying over me.
Overcast sky - 8:30am.
I was bored with noodles, so I cooked oat porridge for myself.
I added 2 long ladies fingers into the porridge.
Then I sprinkled some dried shrimp chili onto the oat porridge.
I like this dried shrimp chili.
White frangipani by the roadside near my house.

Dinner
Fried fish, 2 slices.
Home grown angled luffa cooked with garlic, ginger strips, dried shrimps and egg.
Even though our neighbour don't eat stinky beans, they bought some for us when they went out to buy dinner for themselves.
Someone very happy because sambal stinky beans and black vinegar are his favourites.

ReplyDeleteYa, me too.
DeleteI love black vinegar pork trotter, sambal stinky beans. I'd surely put on weight if I stayed with you. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteLol! That is what is happening to us.
DeleteThe Frangipani is stunning! I have never seen it before.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny.
DeleteI love black vinegar pork trotters. The panfried fish looks so golden crisp. You have the best neighbours, Nancy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie. Thankful for good neighbours.
DeleteVery nice dinner! So thoughtful of your neighbours to buy the stinky beans dish for you all though they don't eat it. I love your oats porridge. Can put all sorts of savoury condiments on it and also like congee, can eat it with century eggs or salted eggs. Have you tried eating oats porridge with salted or century eggs?
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven't tried with century egg but yes, I have tried with salted egg when I once ate oat porridge for dinner.
DeleteYour food is always so interesting, and so different to ours here. Oats here are usually served with cream and sugar. That fish looks delicious, too. Have a great day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThank you, Valerie. Have a great day too.

ReplyDeleteThank you, TM. We usually flood our rice with black vinegar gravy and we will drink the gravy too.
DeleteStinky bean???? Help, nooo.... What a title, LOL!
ReplyDeleteLadies fingers??? It´s a horror show! You have me laughing.
Shrimp Chili?!
Our "worlds" are so different!
Luckily! Anything else would be boring, right.
Care for sharing some Labskaus? My Mum ate it on the ship from a barf back, hot and steaming, to shock tourists.
The flowers are so ... oh. have a (fake one) right here, in a also fake coconut as ... just added a pic on my blog for you :-)
The fish looks good. We made fish burgers. Too, way too many.
OK. I´m officially hungry now!
Its the name we gave the beans. Petai is a better name than stinky beans. Lol! Its not stinky when we cook or eat it.
