This was Thursday, 23rd Sept. morning. There was strong, howling wind the previous night, followed by a short heavy downpour.
6:50am - starting our morning walk.
Can still see the moon in the sky - 6.51am.
Sunrise at 6:57am.
Sunrise at 6:58am.
Fiery sunrise at 6:58am.
Sunrise at 6:59am.
Uprooted tree, first sighting of damage from the previous night wind storm.
This uprooted tree doesn't have much root.
Good thing, the tree fell on the side of the road and not across the road.
Golden sunrise at 7:17am.
The sunrise reflected on the house on the right.
Another sighting of damage.
A broken branch fell on the concrete wall of the school.
Morning sky and Kledang Hill.
My purple hearts plant.
A close up of the purple heart flower.
Silver and gold are purified by fire,
but God purifies hearts.

That must have been a nasty storm! Your photos of the skies and sunrise and the mon are beautiful. I love watching the sky. Here today it's grey and cold! Have a great day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThank you, Valerie. Have a great weekend.
DeleteThat's a really heavy storm...hope no one was injured or something. Beautiful sky shots!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie.
DeleteGreat sky-pic! Dramatic. OK, let´s make that plural!
ReplyDeleteWow, when you say storm you mean storm.
Beautiful flower, have a nice day :-)
Thank you, Iris. Have a nice weekend.
DeleteSuch a shame about the tree. That was quite the damaging storm. Glad you are safe.
ReplyDeleteThankful that there wasn't much damage, only in certain areas, mostly uprooted trees.
DeleteSuch beautiful photos of the sunrise, but that storm looks quite scary! Such a shame about the uprooted tree. I hope no one was injured.

ReplyDeleteThe wind was scary.
DeleteBeautiful skies but sad about the trees I hope not too much damage. Keep safe Diane
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diane. Keep safe too.
DeleteCall me timid, I feel frightened sometimes hearing the howling wind of the storm, especially if it is at night.
ReplyDeleteNo rainbow after the rain but got beautiful fiery sunrise after a storm. It looks like the sky is on fire!
Lucky that no one is injured from the uprooted tree.
The purple hearts flower looks so beautiful and purple is one of my favorite colour.
Yes, I admit that the sound of the howling wind was scary. Have a beautiful weekend.
DeleteGreetings and Salutations! I am so sorry that the storm came and did damage in your area. Nancy, glad you and hubby are safe and sound. Hoping your family and friends are safe too. We have been having rain, wind and hail but lately, beautiful Fall weather has moved into the area with blue skies, trees bursting with color and calm water instead of white caps on the lakes. Love your purple flowers and I always read the biblical verses you share.
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear. We are all safe except for some uprooted trees.
DeleteAwesome photos of the sunrise, love the moon. But, a lot of damage from the wind storm.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gigi. At least no injury or damaged property.
DeleteSounds like you had quite a storm. I'm glad the tree didn't fall onto the home.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
Thank you, Paul. Have a good weekend.
DeleteSorry to hear about the wind, but it sure left you with pretty skies!
ReplyDeleteYes, pretty skies after the storm.
DeleteBeautiful skies, love the colors. Sorry about the uprooted trees. Didn't look like much damage otherwise.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Yogi. Fortunately, there was not much damage in my area.
DeleteI hate windstorms. The fallen trees aren't fun either. So dangerous.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and weekend, Nancy. ♥
Thank you, Sandee. Have a fabulous weekend too.
DeleteWonderfully moody skies.
ReplyDeleteThank you, William.
DeleteMust have been a really wild thunderstorm ⛈️. Luckily no cars were damaged in the thunderstorm. Your purple heart flower is so lovely! Your photo of the purple heart flower has bokeh effect where the background is blur and the flower is sharp in focus, very good photo! 👍 What camera or hp did you use to get that photo? I still cannot get nice bokeh effect using my hp camera.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mun. Thankful that there was not much damage in my area. I am still using my old Huawei Nova 2 plus hand phone.
DeleteThose skies are wonderful! That must have been quite a storm.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are lovely, too.
Thank you, Mimi.
DeleteBeautiful purple heart there.
ReplyDeleteMust have been some storm to have trees fall. Brilliant colourful sky. Shepherds warning is a red sky in the morning,
Thank you, Margaret. I didn't know about shepherds warning. I learned something new today.
