This was a Thursday. No rain, nice weather, and we can go for our morning walk. Yay!
Morning sky 7:17
Sunrise at 7:25am.
Sunrise partially blocking the sunrise - 7:35am.
Simple and cheap breakfast.
2 pieces of toast with coconut jam (kaya).
Chinese art mural on the wall of a Chinese school.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner
Sichuan salted vegetable soup with carrot, tomatoes and pork rib.
Sauteed cabbage + home grown ladies fingers with garlic and salt.
Steamed Chinese sausages.
I totally forgotten that I have a packet of Chinese sausage in my fridge. It was a Chinese New Year gift from our neighbour. These sausages come in handy when I can't think of what to cook.
Linking to Monday Mural.
For the free gift of eternal salvation is now being offered
to everyone; and along with this gift comes the realization that
God wants us to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures
and to live good, God-fearing lives day after day,
looking forward to that wonderful time we've been expecting,
when his glory shall be seen - the glory of
our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.
(Titus 2:11-13, The Living Bible-TLB)
DeleteVery flavourful dinner with the salty vegetable soup and wax sausages. Yum yummy! Go well with rice!. Did you both eat any rice for dinner?
ReplyDeleteWe both shared a small portion of rice.
DeleteBeautiful mural
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bertiebo.
DeleteThe Chinese sausage looks nice and different from ours.
ReplyDeleteThe sky has lovely colours with the 3rd photo having good and interesting clouds.
The Chinese sausage has a waxy and harder texture.
DeleteOh? You steam Chinese sausages too? So far, if steamed, I only had the Taiwan ones. I found that they taste more or less similar. I see dark clouds - bright sunny morning here but it is raining, all of a sudden, right now.
ReplyDeleteToday, the weather forecast says scattered showers. Most of the times, our area not affected.
DeleteThat is a beautiful Chinese mural at the school. It is so soothing.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I visit your blog, I leave hungry. Your photos always look so appetizing. You also took some awesome sunrise shots, too.
DeleteYour dinner is very homely! My grandmother used to put Chinese sausage into the rice cooker when the rice is almost cooked.
ReplyDeleteThat is what we usually do too.
DeleteWeather has been warm lately since last week....need to stay indoor and hydrated more.
ReplyDeleteYes, only gray sky but no rain. Back to the air-con.
DeleteCan you explain the Chinese sausages? Google is a bit weird on that ;-)
ReplyDeleteChinese sausage is a dried, hard sausage usually made from pork and pork fat. It is normally smoked, sweetened, and seasoned with rose water, rice wine and soy sauce. Very different from the hot dog sausage.
DeleteYour breakfast looks interesting. All your food is very unfamiliar to me.
