Instead of sharing on food, I will share a bit from my garden in this post. But first, let me share a few shots of our morning sky.

~~~~~
Edibles from my garden.
Chive bud and flower.
After I have given 2 pots of chives to my friends, there are 2 pots left in my garden.
Green brinjal or eggplant.
I have cut and removed all the brinjal plants from my garden except for 1 last plant which is still fruiting.
There are now cucumber plants growing in 2 pots in my garden.
~~~~~
Non-edibles from my garden.
Purple Wishbone flowers.
These have self-propagated in some of the pots with nothing growing in them.
My odd shape cactus. It has long and sharp spines or needles.
Anyone can help me with the name of this cactus?
It has started to form cactus pups or offsets on its crown.
Top view of the new pups or off-sets on the crown of the mother cactus.
Happy is the man who doesn't give in and
do wrong when he is tempted,
for afterwards he will get as his reward the crown of life
that God has promised those who love him.
(James 1:12, The Living Bible-TLB)
Beautiful sky! Will the eggplant turn white or purple?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie. This is a green eggplant and will remain green.
DeleteWe have got rid of our brinjal and ladies fingers. Now happily harvesting our tomatoes, big and small.
ReplyDeleteI hope my tomato plants will also grow healthy like yours. My tomato plants are beginning to flower and the cucumber plants are growing well.
DeleteThose cactus look huge! I have always had a soft spot for cactus but I get the mini ones. Have carted many many away from Camerons haha.
ReplyDeleteThis was from Cameron highland. Most of the succulents and cactus I bought from Cameron were gone because I tend to over water them.
Delete...7:00am was a magical moment. Take care and stay well.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom. Take care and stay well too.

Thank you, Gustyanita. Have a nice weekend too.
DeleteGot to see beautiful, clear sky today after many days of rain. I caught beautiful sunrise and sunset today. I miss the sun!
ReplyDeleteI am always on the lookout for sunrises and sunsets.
DeleteYou have a great garden. That cactus, if it were in the USA, seems very similar to a barrel cactus.
ReplyDeleteI think it could be one of Barrel Cactus' cousin. Thank you, Yogi.
DeleteBeautiful sky shots and you have a fabulous green thumb.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day and weekend, Nancy. See you Monday. ♥
Thank you, Sandee. Have a terrific weekend too.
DeleteI love your garden! The eggplant looks so big and healthy with no bugs. My father used to grow them in his garden, too, and my mother cooked them with meat.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gigi. We love eggplant too.
DeleteHello Nancy, :=) If you let chives flower, does it affect the taste of the chive? I don't know the name of your spiky cactus, maybe someone will. I love your sky shots.
ReplyDeleteThank you and a great weekend. I didn't notice any difference.
DeleteWe have wild onions here that grows like weeds. I am always pulling plants out when the soil is wet and lets go of them easily, so they don't take over the yard. Their leaves and blooms are similar to your chive plant. The flowers are edible also. I have never thought of using them in the kitchen, but perhaps I should. I love your gardens with so many different vegetables in pots.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Yvonne. I prefer to grow them in pots because I find it more easy to manage but I know growing directly into the ground will be much better for the plants.
DeleteI always enjoy your sunrise photos. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you and have a wonderful weekend.
DeleteThat cactus is quite spiky.
ReplyDeleteHa ha..It is very spiky. I am been pricked many times.
DeleteI love the Wishbones, they are my favorite!!!

Thank you, Dora. Yes, the cactus is very pokey.
DeleteVery useful edibles from your garden. Beautiful sky views from your Skywatch photos collection. I think your cactus is barrel cactus. Do you agree?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mun. Yes, Yogi also also gave the same name.
DeleteYour chive flowers are so pretty! I am afraid of cactus because of the thorns.
ReplyDeleteThank you, PH. Yes, I have been pricked many times.
DeleteFirst shot: Wow!
