It was a day with overcast sky.
Morning sky.

A friend came to visit and we received a salted chicken, which we heated up for dinner by steaming.
The price of a salted chicken is almost RM30. Inside the cavity of the chicken, you can find 2 pieces of "tong kwai" (Chinese herb).
Wild boar curry rendang bought from an Indian stall.
Home grown green amaranth in soup and egg.
We had the above with steamed brown rice.
A dear friend propagated this plant for me.
I think this is the Cranberry hibiscus.
Wall mural: 2 kids on a paper plane.
The mural is now quite faded.
Linking to Monday Mural.
The shallow, rocky soil represents the heart of a man
who hears the message and receives it with real joy,
but he doesn't have much depth in his life,
and the seeds don't root very deeply,
and after a while when trouble comes,
or persecution begins because of his beliefs,
his enthusiasm fades, and he drops out.
(Matthew 13:20-21, The Living Bible-TLB)
Very common at your side, wild boar curry or rendang. Here, at the shops, they will fry with soy sauce and all the serai, lengkuas, ginger etc etc...etc...so no offensive smell. I am very picky when buying the meat - if the meat is good, no need for all these things - just cook in our very simple ways, so so so nice!
ReplyDeleteThe wild boar curry doesn't have any offensive smell because of the spices in the curry. And the meat is tender and not tough.
DeleteSuch a great meal! The salted chicken looks so tender and wild boar rendang looks really flavourful too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie. Both were very tasty.
DeleteYour food has made me hungry, I'm glad it's soon time for our meal! The photo is beautiful, and I love the plant your friend gave you! Hugs, Valerie
