After morning walk, we drove out for breakfast at Tastefully Noodle House. Falim. On our first or previous visit, I ordered their giant curry noodle. If you are interested, you can click here to take a look at it. For this 2nd visit, we wanted to try something else.
Hubby ordered yellow noodle with meat balls, minced pork and etc. in clear soup.
I ordered their special noodle (looks like wanton) with chicken curry (dry version).
It was a good and satisfying breakfast. for both of us.
That morning, while watering my plants, I happened to look up and saw this white orchid flower. I wasn't aware and didn't even notice when it budded.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner.
I missed tom yam noodle very much so I decided to have it for noodle dinner. I only have to buy the beansprouts and the other ingredients such as dried shrimps, Chinese chives, tom yam paste and garlic were all available in the kitchen.
This orchid plant was a gift from a dear friend.
This is the first time it flowered and now I know that its flower is white.
This was a pleasant surprise that I finally get to see the flower.
I don't have much success with orchids. Maybe I don't know how to look after them. Currently, there are only 3 pots of orchid plants including this one and one of them may not survive. I hope this white orchid will remain healthy and continue to do well in my garden.
Instead, we will lovingly follow the truth at all times - speaking truly,
dealing truly, living truly - and so become more and more
in every way like Christ who is the Head of his body, the Church.
Under his direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly,
and each part in its own special way helps the other parts,
so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
(Ephesians 4:15-16, The Living Bible-TLB)
I miss tomyam noodles too, my kids like to have that last time...
ReplyDeleteThe orchid you show today is very pretty! Just in case, do not move it from the place where it is. Surely you liked that place to "continue living"
Thank you, Norma. The white orchid flower lasted about 19 to 20 days before it wilted.
DeleteI always find myself wondering how the skies change so beautifully so quickly. Weather, of course. But the vision makes a strong impression.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Andree. The changing sky never fail to amaze me.
DeleteThank you Nancy for the Lovely photos of the white orchid - the colour is so pure. Your dinner of Tom Yam Noodle is so tasty. You have a typo. You accidentally typed noodle when you meant dinner. It happens when your thinking is faster than your typing. nothing to be concerned about. Just thought you would want to know.
ReplyDeleteOh 3 orchid plants from your friend. May all of them including the White Orchid From your Garden flourish and grow well. These orchid plants do not require much watering, right?
Thank you, Mun for pointing out the mistake to me. It is not rectified. Yes, you are right. I think faster than I can type. Lol!
DeleteOrchids are not easy to grow, these are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mimi.
DeleteBeautiful orchid & the tom yam noodles look pretty tasty
DeleteWhat a beautiful sunrise to start your day, and your breakfast's are always so interesting. So much different from our bacon and eggs and such. The white orchid is so beautiful. What a pleasant surprise.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Yvonne. Have a wonderful new week.
DeleteWhat a lovely surprise Nancy! Your tiny white orchid is gorgeous. I bought a white Phalaenopsis in pot for Christmas and now it has been blooming for a second time at least for two months. I sink the pot in water once a week, let it stay for a while. Then add a bit plant fertilizer and keep the pot on a window sill where it gets much light but not direct sunlight. Good luck with this one!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Riitta. Glad for your white Phalaenopsis. I hope my white orchid will do well too.
DeletePreciosa orquídea. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Teresa.
DeletePerfect orchid! Great sky shots too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda.
DeleteWhat a lovely orchid, Beautiful dreary sky. Thanks for sharing with Garden Affair.
