Dinner At Hooray Seafood Restaurant, Ipoh

Rain, rain and more rain. This is the rainy season.

1 little, 2 little, 3 little birds on the power line.

Simple breakfast after morning walk.
Croissant + ham + egg sandwich for me.
Hubby breakfast: Steamed rice roll with yam bean filling from a new stall.

Dine-out dinner with friends.
We decided to return to this place after a long, long time.
Fried pork slices with pickled sweet sourish onions @ RM22.
Fish head curry with assorted vegetables @ RM35.
Fried purple brinjal/eggplant/aurbegine with preserved vegetable (mui choy) @ RM14
Total cost of dinner for 4 people = RM78 (incl. 4 rice (S-size) + hot water).
Rhinoceros at Taiping zoo (shared by a friend).

  1. I love rain and we have croissants this weekend, too :-)
    Fish heads... my 80+ year old neighbor told me how in WWII he had to eat them not to starve. Never thought one would eat them when there is other food available...

  5. I haven't had a criossant for ages!!! RM4.50 for a good one here, very flaky and buttery. I'd settle for plain bread, mantao or kompia- cheaper, also nice. Will buy croissants sometimes for my girl to enjoy...if I happen to be around the shop.

    1. We usually remove the heads for small fish but the heads of big fishes are using for cooking.
