Thankful For The Rain

We were ready to resume our walking exercise this Monday morning but when we woke up we heard raindrops on the awning. We have stopped our morning walk for almost 2 months because of the haze. Thank God for the rain that washed away the haze and now we can enjoy the blue sky and breathe in fresh, clean air.
On our way to town to meet up with friends and have lunch with them.
We were told to meet in old town, near the recreation park.
This is Ipoh Riverfront Park, formerly called People's Park in Ipoh old town.
My friends were busy looking out for the others, while I was busy taking photos.
I only took a few photos from outside the fence. I very much wanted to enter the park to snap more photos but the place looked very deserted. Next trip...
We had lunch at a vegetarian restaurant in new town and after lunch we parted and drove home. I didn't take any photos of our lunch.
Expecting another heavy downpour....
Looks like the rainy season is back.
Hoping to reach home before the rain started to pour.
We managed to reach home before the rain started.
It was pouring the whole evening and we had simple home cooked dinner. We had Fried Rice with dried prawns, onions, bird's eye chili, eggs and stinking beans (petai). Our favourite fried rice. Best eaten with sambal belacan! Yums!
That is the Kledang Hill and the transmission towers can be seen on top of the hill on the left.

Linking to Skywatch Friday.

For Your loving-kindness is great beyond measure,
high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches the skies.
His glory is far more vast than the heavens.
It towers above the earth.
(Psalm 108:4-5, TLB)

  2. the park looks like a very nice place to relax. I would prefer it when it is deserted so I could relax without noise. glad to see some blue skies over your head and some real clouds too.

    1. Thank you, Joyful. I would love a deserted park but times are no longer good and it is not safe to be in a deserted area. There might be muggers or snatch thiefs lurking around especially when they see a woman walking alone. Have a happy day!

Your home cooked meals looks so good. I prefer home cooked meals to restaurant cooked meal but I like to go out for breakfast after church once a week to be with friends and catch up on what's happening in their lives.
    Have a great day.

  27. I use to enjoy walking but now as I get older my legs are painful and with this problem with my foot, walking is difficult for lengths of time. Here in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada, it's getting cold and snow is in the air. Well of course Christmas is coming.
Enjoy the day Nancy. See ya.
