It was a Sunday morning. We were preparing for our Sunday Worship Service in church. I drove to my friend's house and park my car outside her house. We decided to car pool to church and for that Sunday my friend wanted to drive her car because she was inviting a neighbour to church.
After Sunday Worship Service ended, we had some light refreshment in church and then we left. On the way back, my friend dropped off her neighbour at her house.

Even though it was excited to see it's owner, it just sat and wagged its tail.
It is waiting for its owner to alight from the car and open the gate.
My friend then drove back to her own house and I was invited into her garden.

First time seeing this orchid specie. It was hanging from her mango tree.
Her dog, Sheba was barking at me. Because of me, she has to be locked behind the grilles. And her cat was also there.
I was admiring her orchid blooms. Maybe I will start an orchid collection...lol!
Oooh....I love this white orchid!
This kitty kept a watchful eye on me that I do not take away the orchid plants.
This orchid plant is a gift from my friend. I am waiting for it to flower.
Got this baby plant from her garden. It is quite a common plant.
I am happy to have this in my garden. It is a hardy and easy to care for plant.

The flower is bright yellow and very attractive. It helps to brighten up my little garden.

Nancy, I see that your friend is also a keen gardener. Her orchids are lovely! Hope your's bloom soon :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Phong Hong. Yes, she loves gardening and she has given me some beautiful plants. I think I have caught the interest for orchids from her..ha ha...
DeleteYour friend must be an orchid lover!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful bright yellow flower.
Thank you, Rose. She has orchids, roses and other garden plants. She is good with plants.
DeleteLovely blooms and both of you have green fingers!
ReplyDeleteI too have to chain up the dogs whenever family and friends come visiting, can't help it because they are scared of the dogs otherwise they are free to roam around the house.
Thank you, Elaine. It is safer to chain them up or lock them up while the visitors are around just to assure the visitors safety. I too used to do that when my dogs were with me.
DeleteSome impressive orchids, they certainly are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mamas. They are beautiful!
DeleteI love orchids but don't have any at home. Heard that it takes a lot of work, effort & time to look after, how true is that...but once it blooms, it will be lovely. The yellow flower is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Irene. I used to see my brother in law tend to his orchids and he spent a lot of time in his garden. But I think when it blooms it is worth the effort. I will try one or two orchid plants first. The yellow flower is very easy to grow.

ReplyDeleteRe your comment about breaking rules by linking to more than one meme...as far as I am concerned there are no rules. Just do what you feel like doing. I only link to one at a time because of two reasons: one, it helps me focus on something to post that day, and secondly, sometimes I have a hard time getting to visit other people that have linked. I never visit all the people that link to Good Fences because I don't have time, but I do try to visit some.
Thank you, Rose for your assurance that I am not breaking any rules. Rose, you have been a good blogging friend. Have a wonderful Thursday!

DeleteHow nice to have a closed entrance to keep the pets inside. Your friend had a green thumb. Your whole garden seems to be gifts from friends. How generous are your friends. I do the same with my plants, I divide and give away, that way they have more room to grow big.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Hugs,
JB
Thank you, Julia. I am indeed blessed to receive the plants from my friends and I in turn will propagate my plants and pass them to my friends too...to whoever has the interest. We bless one another.
