It was a Friday and it was not a bright, sunny day. Throughout the whole day, the sky looked like it was going to pour down heavy rain any time. We were able to enjoy our early morning walk at the park.
Morning sky at 6:50 am at the park.
That evening, it was our usual Friday dinner with friends. We wanted to try a new place in Menglembu, we had the address but we need Waze app to direct us to the exact location.
Koon Poh Snakehead fish meat slices
(cooked with onions, ginger, dried chilies and spring onions)
Herbal and wine soup cooked with the bony parts of the Snakehead fish.
Paku Pakis fern cooked with spicy prawn paste.
Fried tofu with minced meat gravy.
Sourish stewed pork leg in clay pot.
It was a delightful and satisfying dinner for 6 people.

Feed the hungry! Help those in trouble!
Then your light will shine out from the darkness,
and the darkness around you shall be as bright as day.
And The Lord will guide you continually
and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too;
and you will be like a well-watered garden,
like an ever-flowing spring.
(Isaiah 58:10-11, The Living Bible-TLB)
I can eat a lot of rice with the tofu in minced meat gravy and the sourish stewed pork leg.

DeleteLots of interesting dishes. I've never heard of snakehead fish before. Is it a mild tasting fish? - Margy
ReplyDeleteThis fish can be cooked in many ways, either in soup or fried, etc.
DeleteDo you need to take the whole fish, hence the two styles of cooking?
ReplyDeleteNeed lots of rice to do this meal justice... mmmm.
Yes. That's is the way they do it.
