We overslept this morning and woke up a bit later than usual. The weather was nice and dry and we were able to go for morning walk.

We walked past one of the houses and saw this cat watching us.
It stayed for a snapshot before it disappeared into the drain.

The special guest star of this post is a snake.
A dear friend shared with me the following photos of a snake that her brother saw in his backyard.

This snake is the Golden Tree Snake (Chrysopelea ornata) and is found in both South and Southeast Asia.

According to her brother, the snake was in the midst of molting its skin on the fence.

Golden Tree Snakes are also known as Flying Snakes because they glide very well.

They are tree dwellers and they can climb even walls.

DeleteWe don't have that kind of snake here in Oklahoma but we have all sorts of other snakes including several venomous species.

DeleteMorning walks are especially wonderful on holidays when there is no rush to anything. Interesting animals. There are only three species of snakes here in Finland.

ReplyDeleteIt is a semi venomous snake. I usually use my garden hose to spray water to shoo off the grasshoppers.
DeleteNot sure how I would feel about a snake that glides...I am not terrified of snakes as a rule. LOL
