My fridge was cleared of fish and meat except for a piece of frozen smoked duck breat meat which I bought from the meat shop. The evening before our short getaway, I thawed the smoked duck breast meat and steamed it.
I cooked the dried noodle and home grown Malabar Spinach in boiling water. I mixed the noodle and spinach with garlic oil and soy sauce. After steaming, I sliced the smoked duck breast meat and served with the cooked noodle. Hubby chose chili oil to go with his noodle.
This plate without the chili oil was mine.
Instead of chili oil, I prefer this sambal dried prawn from Penang.
Our simple dinner the day before our short getaway.

You are my hiding place from every storm of life;
you even keep me from getting into trouble!
You surround me with songs of victory.
I will instruct you (says the Lord) and
guide you along the best pathway for your life;
I will advise you and watch your progress.

The smoked duck breast looks so good. Is it salty? I wonder if it is western style smoked duck breast or eastern style smoked duck breast?
