This is another of the "Now And Before" series. Today is about Jalan Sultan Iskandar, formerly known as Hugh Low Street in Ipoh. These black and white photos were taken from the exhibition by Ipoh City Council - "My Ipoh - Heritage Trail".

New Bridge at Hugh Low Street, Ipoh.
This bridge is the gateway between the old and new town of Ipoh.
Heaven can be entered only through the narrow gate!
The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide enough
for all the multitudes who choose its easy way.
But the Gateway to Life is small, and the road is narrow,
and only a few ever find it.
(Matthew 7:13-14, TLB)

The new bridge of Ipoh is very impressive.I like the coloured glass windows in the towers and attractive road lamps. Enjoy your Sunday.

DeleteFabulous photos and a lovely quote.
ReplyDeleteBesides life can be fully experienced only if we go through all the difficulties, problems, headaches, obstacles and sufferings that come in our way. An easy life is no life. A ship which is safely anchored in the harbor is not sea worthy and it is useless.
Best wishes
Thank you, Joseph. Best wishes to you too. Beautifully said. Have a great week ahead!
