I am starting with this first post of our 2D1N holiday in Penang. We started our journey early (7.50 am) was because we wanted to have breakfast in Penang.
It was a nice cool day for travelling.
There was mist covering the mountains.
It was a Friday and the traffic was not heavy.
We took the 1st bridge.
The drive from Ipoh to Penang was about 2 hours plus.
I like this part of the Penang bridge.
By now, our tummies were giving out hungry signals.
Parking spaces are limited. We managed to find one and we needed to walk to the coffee shop.
We passed by this Heritage House with these beautiful designs.
Kedai Makanan dan Minuman Satu Satu Tiga (113) at Lorong Melayu. I have been here before but some of my friends have not. And we like to introduce the food here to those who haven't.
* * * * *
We ordered the following for 6 people to share.
We need to keep space for other yummy food.
4 bowls of kway teow th'ng for 6 people.
A plate of kway chap consisting of slices of braised pork belly, tofu, pork intestines, coagulated blood, hard boiled eggs, etc. We finished off almost everything, leaving behind the coagulated blood which none of us ate.
3 bowls of fish balls to share.
When eating together in groups, the food seems to taste better.
My coffee served in this cup.
Has anyone tried this Fatty Loh Chicken rice?
It claims to be one of the top 10 Hainan Chicken Rice King.
Porridge and rice are served for lunch only.
This photo was taken in Teluk Intan and is for linking to Good Fences.
Linking to Good Fences.
And when that time comes,
all doing wrong will do it more and more;
the vile will become more vile; good men will be better;
those who are holy will continue on in greater holiness.
See, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me,
to repay everyone according to the deeds he has done.
(Revelation 22:11-12, The Living Bible-TLB)
Hummm pratos bem apetitosos.

DeleteThe weather looks good for an outing, nice and cooling
ReplyDeleteSaves us from the hot sun and sweating.
DeleteThe blood is duck's or oink oink's blood? I guess you all didn't know that the plate would include the slices of blood or else you all would have requested the seller to omit the slices of blood.
ReplyDeleteNext trip, must remember to inform them not to include the blood
DeleteHa ha your not busy traffic would be a traffic jam here. Have a good day Diane
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diane! I need to post a photo of our traffic jam to show you one day! Lol!

Thank you, William! I have deleted his comment.
