We woke up late on this particular morning but we still set out on our walk. The difference is that more people are already up and about at this time.
Even the birds were making a lot of noise up on this leafless tree.
This leafless tree has been leafless for a long time. Parasite plants have been growing on it.
Beautiful sunrise at 7:44am.
Cucumbers hanging from the cucumber vines in my garden.
During this dry season, most of the cucumbers harvested were used to make salad or juice.
The cucumber vines have ceased fruiting and they have been removed. I have yet to decide whether I should plant bitter gourd or cucumber again.

It was a Tuesday evening, and we booked a table for 6 people at the Best View Restaurant, Ipoh.
Green vegetable (celtuce) sauteed with fermented bean curd (fu yue) @ RM12.
Sweet potato leaves with shrimp paste in clay pot @ RM8.
I didn't noticed it before but now I can see that the sides of the clay pot was chipped off. Probably at that time we were all engrossed in the food.
Stinky beans with minced pork and spicy prawn sambal @ RM20.
Steamed brown mable grouper fish @ RM75 (per fish).
Stewed pork belly with wood fungus and red fermented bean curd in clay pot @ RM25.
Total cost of dinner including hot water and rice - RM149.60
It was a great evening because both the food and service was good.

DeleteThe price for dinner is reasonable for so many dishes including the fish. The cucumbers look thick and good. Did you keep track of how many cucumbers that you have harvested before you need to remove the vine? Over how long?
ReplyDeleteOnce the plants stopped fruiting and do not look healthy, I will remove the vines.
