I should have posted this a few months ago but I have totally forgotten about these photos hidden in one of the folders on my desktop. We passed by this area regularly and we noticed a new eatery has just started.
As it is always the case, everyone is curious and wanted to try new food at new places. We came here for our dinner.
A new place selling "nga choy kai" and noodles.
(Taugeh which is mung bean sprouts and chicken with noodles)

White chopped chicken - Poached chicken with oil and soy sauce.
Blanched mung bean sprouts with oil, soy sauce, pepper & etc.
Smashed onion green as a dipping sauce.
Something different from the usual ginger paste.
Flat rice noodle in plain soup - my favourite.
Hubby's favourite - yellow noodle + rice vermicelli.

Lorong Taman Sepuluh, Taman Pertama, Ipoh.
But God has opened the eyes of those called to salvation,
both Jews and Gentile, to see that Christ
is the mighty power of God to save them;
Christ Himself is the center of
God's wise plan for their salvation.

When a new place opens here, you pretty much have to stay away from it for a while. It's so crowded, you'll either have to wait two hours to be seated or there wont' be a seat at all and you'll have to get it to go. If you wait a few weeks, everyone's tried it out and the crowds go back to a normal level.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Stephanie. We usually stay away for some time before we going to try new places. Have a beautiful day!
DeletePratos bem apetitosos.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.
Thank you, Francisco. Have a great day!
DeleteI am getting hungry looking at the bean sprouts! Great post, as always, dear Nancy. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. Have a lovely day!

ReplyDeleteBusy especially when the business just opened. Everyone wants to try out the new place.
DeleteA new eating place is always so fun....I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've never heard of blanched chicken...I have a thing about liking my meat brown....like when I roast a turkey, I like it a golden brown.
ReplyDeleteThank you, BJ. I too love golden brown, especially roasted or fried. Blanched chicken may not be everyone's liking because it looks plain and bland.
DeleteWow! Nga Choi Kei in my hometown....is it as nice as Lou Wong? I normally go to old town for it instead of other shops cause some of it are really just not as nice. From the looks of the photos, the food definitely is looking good. Any review on the taste?
ReplyDeleteHello Billy Toh, we prefer the nga choi kei in Buntong (related to Lou Wong) compared to Lou Wong. This one in Taman Pertama is okay, wouldn't mind going back.
DeleteHi Nancy, we are the same here. When a new place opens everyone is out to try it. Looks like this was a nice place. Thank you for the bible verse too.
