My Dainty Purple Flower

There is this plant with small purple flowers in my garden that I have been trying to identify but so far have not been successful. I hope someone out there can help me with the identification of this plant. Today I want to share with you this dainty purple flower plant.

I bought this plant from the morning market in my housing area. At that time it was a small plant with a few purple flowers in a black plastic bag. The man who sold this plant to me mentioned a name in Chinese which I cannot remember.
Since I do not know its proper name, I will refer to this as my dainty purple flower plant. It blooms all the year round.

My dainty purple flower plants grows well in normal garden soil with good drainage. It does well in partial shade or under few hours of sunlight. I have not tried propagation through stem cuttings and hope to do so soon.
(Update on 19/8/2016 - Propagation through stem cuttings has been done successfully)
I love the bright purple colour of these flower buds. The stem are slim and quite brittle. The leaves are smooth and thin.
While I was taking this photo, I noticed one of my garden guests settling on the top flower, feeding on its nectar.

This bee was too busy feeding that it was not disturbed by me getting so close to take a snapshot.

The flower is only about 2 to 3 cm in width. I found that occasional trimmings encourage new branches and more flower.

It is a joy to see my dainty purple flowers swaying and dancing in the breeze.

(24-12-2017 the id of this plant is Pseuderanthemum laxiflorum)

She makes coverings for her beds;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
(Proverbs 31:22, New International Version-NIV)
