Fish Balls & Fried Noodles For Dinner

Today is Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas to those who are celebrating Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

Right time to share the Sunset Bells from my garden.
These were taken before the rainy season.
Beautiful blooms, just nice for Christmas & New Year 2023.
~~~~~
For dinner, we went to Pusat Makanan MXII,
#9, Jalan Dato Tahwil Azhar, Taman Jubilee, 30300 Ipoh.
We ordered 8 fish balls (sai toh yu tan or yellow tail snapper).
Flat rice noodle or koay teow with egg gravy.
Doesn't look nice but tastes good.
Fried flat rice noodle (koay teow) + rice vermicelli (beehoon).
This was our dinner for 4 people which costs less than RM50.
To an opponent, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart.
To a customer, service.
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect."
Christmas Cookies & Flowers From A Friend
The following sky photos were taken in the 1st week of this month, December.
Morning sky at 7:20am.
That morning, we get to see the sunrise even for a short while.
Hubby and I love to eat this messy dry colour noodles.
I will always order flat rice noodle (koay teow) while hubby will order the yellow noodle.
The thick curry gravy almost completely covered the noodle.
I need to stir up the noodle just to check if I had the right plate of noodle.
~~~~~
This was about 1 week later.
This was at 6:50am.
The sky was dark but it didn't rain so we had our morning walk.
My stomach was not feeling well for a few days so I went to the government clinic near my area. While waiting to get my medication, I saw this little girl looking at the Christmas decoration. For your info, my stomach is feeling much better now. Doctor's advice: refrain from spicy and sour food.
~~~~~
So for the time being, I will be a good girl.
For next morning's breakfast, I ordered 1 popiah (spring roll) to share with hubby. What about the chili on the popiah? Fortunately, it was more sweet than spicy.
The popiah tastes good. A must order on our next visit.
I ordered shredded chicken noodle or kai si hor fun.
This is quite good but not as good as our regular stall in my area.
Hubby ordered prawn noodle (combination of yellow noodle and rice vermicelli).
~~~~~
Yesterday, a close friend drop by to give me something.
I received these 2 flower bouquets from her. They are not real flowers. She has a few so she gave me 2.
She suggested that I can use the flowers for decoration.
I decided to decorate my mother's mother-in-law tongue plants with the yellow flowers.
She also gave me the above Christmas cookies.
Nine pieces of yummy cookies or berry tarts with a star in the centre.

Linking to Skywatch Friday.

Seek him who created the Seven Stars and the constellation Orion,
who turns darkness into morning and day into night,
who calls forth the water from the ocean and
pours it out as rain upon the land.
The Lord, Jehovah, is his name.

Lamb Belly Hot Pot At Da Xia Charcoal Hot Pot

Just as we were getting dressed for morning walk, it started to drizzle. Morning walk was cancelled and we drove to town looking for breakfast.

After returning from breakfast, the sky was clear. The Kledang Hill with mist at the lower part.
~~~~~
That evening was our dine-out evening with friends. We chose this place called Da Xia Charcoal Hot Pot for dinner, located at 14, Jalan Datuk Onn Jaafar, Ipoh. This shop was formerly occupied by Kedai Kopi Weng Seng.
The 1st time we were here, I forgot to snap photos. This 2nd time we came with different friends and we found that business starts at about 6pm. Most tables were taken but we managed to get a round table for 4 of us.
When we were seated, we were handed an order chit.
Fried shrimp paste chicken wings @ RM18.00 to enjoy while waiting for the hot pot to be served.
1 medium size ancient taste lamb belly in clay pot @ RM58.00. It was boiling hot and placed over a charcoal stove that was in the centre of the table. We ordered 4 bowls of white rice @ RM1.50 each. We started to dig in to enjoy the lamb belly, celery, carrot, napa cabbage, bean curd skin, etc. When we have eaten about half of the food, we requested for more soup to be added and the following items were added to the soup.
5 sai toh (yellow tail snapper) fish balls @ RM6.00
Fried bean curd sheet @ RM5.00
Baby napa cabbage @ RM5.00
We waited for the soup to boil and the food to be cooked. It has started to rain heavily but the heat from the charcoal stove kept us nice and warm. Overall, it was a delightful dinner on a cool, rainy evening. Total cost of dinner for 4 people is RM103.00. It was still raining when we left.
Just tell me what to do and I will do it, Lord.
As long as I live I'll wholeheartedly obey.
Make me walk along the right paths,
for I know how delightful they really are.
