Last Sunday, we agreed to meet up at Jaya Jusco department store where they needed to do some shopping for the night's hot pot dinner. After having bought all that we needed, we moved on to look for something to fill our tummies. We decided on Ting Hao restaurant, which hubby and I have been once before and we have totally forgotten about this place.
Once seated, we each made our own choice and ordered what we each wanted to eat. Altogether, there were 7 of us.
My hubby and a friend ordered this Sambal Petai Rice (spicy stinking bean rice) @ MYR 9.00 (approx. 2.21 USD)
A friend ordered this normal Fried Rice @ MYR 7.00 (approx. 1.72 USD)
A friend ordered this "Mui Fun" (rice topped with silky savoury gravy) @ MYR 7.00 (approx. 1.72 USD)
2 friends ordered this Stir Fried Loh Shu Fun (silver needle noodle) @ MYR 7.00 (approx. 1.72 USD)
And I ordered a Pineapple Fried Rice with a tinge of spiciness of curry spices @ MYR 7.50 (approx. 1.84 USD)
Front view of the restaurant.
My glass of Iced Lemon Tea to quench my thirst.
Many waters cannot quench the flame of love,
neither can the floods drown it.
If a man tried to buy it with everything he owned, he couldn't do it.

Took this snapshot of this white bird at a traffic light.
Lately, we have been seeing many of this bird in Ipoh.
I do not know the name of this bird.
Found this yellow grasshopper in my friend's garden.
It didn't fly away even when I went close with my cell phone.
Good afternoon Nancy! It's rainy days here too ... the plate of pineapple fried rice looks good. The stir-fry Loh Shu Fun too .... it's been a long time I've not cooked Loh Shu Fun. Oh the yellow grasshopper ! The last pic of the pair of birdies on cable reminded me of cartoons. Have great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karen. Have a great weekend too!
DeletePLEASE send some rain.
ReplyDeleteOh Tom, how I wish I could. Have a great Sunday!
DeleteGrasshoppers! Pest! But I never seen a yellow one. Usually those green or brown coloured one.
ReplyDeleteThe lunch looked good.
Grasshoppers are pests but they do make good critter models. He he!
DeleteCoisas deliciosas acabando com um belo refresco, gostei das fotografias.
ReplyDeleteObrigado pelo comentário.
Um abraço e bom fim de semana.
Thank you, Francisco. Have a wonderful Sunday!
DeleteThat grasshopper looks huge LOL! The one in my garden loves to eat my bunga raya :(

DeleteQuite an ominous sky in that one shot.
ReplyDeleteIt was after a heavy rain and still threatening to pour more rain.
DeleteIt has been raining daily over at SG too
ReplyDeleteAt least now we do not have to suffer the heat.
DeleteThe yellow grasshopper looks so big. I think I will order the petai rice. Price is ok at RM9.
ReplyDeleteI love petai too. Price wise, it is ok.
DeleteLovely post dear! Have a great weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Beauty. Have a great weekend too!
DeleteThe last picture is gorgeous! I think the bird may be a heron or egret. Great capture of the storm clouds! I want to taste the gravy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny. Have a beautiful Sunday!
DeleteYummy food, Nancy. It has been raining daily at my corner too. I'm happy we're seeing less of the haze this year. :D
ReplyDeleteWeather nice and cool plus fresh air! No need to on air con too.
DeleteI don't think I've ever had the silver needle noodle. It's a bit of a tongue twister if you try to say it a few times quickly. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Good thing we can ordered it in Cantonese, Loh Shu Fun, so no tongue twisting. Lol!
DeletePlease tell me you zoomed in really, really close for that grasshopper - I'd have been running a mile!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWren x
I did zoom in a bit but not really that close. It was late evening, and the grasshopper was just clinging onto the branch and moving at all. It was just great for me to capture it up close. Lucky me!
DeleteWe like the food here too, but a little bit pricey, probably because of the rent.
ReplyDeleteDo you know where Aberdeen used to be? Now they have changed hands and it's called F&B Paradise (open from 5 p.m.). Food there's tasty and reasonably priced.
I haven't been to both Aberdeen or F&B Paradise. The next time I make a trip there, will look out for the place.
DeleteWas mentioning in PH blog, that has been quite long i didn't see grasshopper already...
ReplyDeleteThey are quite regular visitors in my garden.
DeleteInteresting grasshopper! You are right, they are good for photos.
ReplyDeleteAlso the katydids. But they eat my mountain laurels'leaves!
~
Both the grasshoppers and katydids are not good for our plants.
DeleteHmm thought it was called 'Wui fan'... not that it matters, I will always have noodle with this kind of sauce anyway hehe.
ReplyDeleteInteresting bird invasion... they haven't come to KL yet.
Ha ha Stacy, I don't know whether it is wui fan or mui fan. I never like this wui fan or mui fan.
DeleteHello Nancy, love the birds and the grasshopper. Great photos. Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy day and week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen for hosting. Have a happy week!
