Arrival & Tea Time At Bunge Bungalow, Fraser's Hill.

After our lunch, we all got into the car and hit the road again all the way to Fraser's Hill. As you can see from the photos, we spotted some gray clouds gathering and we hope to reach Fraser's Hill before it started to rain.
 The clouds were turning gray.
We passed by the Kuala Kubu Selangor dam and we saw more gray clouds.
I was trying to get a snapshot of the dam.
Here, hubby slowed down the car for us to take this shot. Surprisingly, the water level was not very high.
We reached Fraser's Hill slightly after 2 pm. This time, we checked into the above bungalow named Bunge.
After we have rested and freshened up, we came together to enjoy our tea time. We brought with us home made cake, biscuits and junk food for tea. Our friend brought along some ginger ale for us to try.
Our friend, Shirley made this yummy prune cake for our tea and snack.
After tea, it was time to explore the garden. This gorgeous yellow rose growing in a pot was just next to the door of the bungalow. The following are some of the flowering plants found in the compound.
There was a row of yellow and red flowering bushes along the pathway. Some of the flowers we saw on our previous trip were no longer there.
Scientific name is Pachystachys lutea.
Common names are Golden Shrimp Plants or Lollipop Plants.
These are the Red Salvia / Salvia Splendens / Scarlet Sage plants.
Cigar plants.
Marigolds.
Crown of Thorns.
Poinsettia growing in a pot.
For this trip our friends brought along their teenager grandson and he was looking forward to a game of badminton with hubby. Hubby hasn't been playing badminton for a long time.
This is the room where hubby and I slept in. I think we have slept in this room for the 4th time. After the renovation, the rooms are now equipped with modern bathrooms.
We have to walk a short distance down to the playing court.
Hubby and Daniel sweating out at the court playing badminton.
Both of them were working up an appetite for dinner.
Tree Ferns.

He said, "If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord,
do not pass your servant by. Let a little water be brought,
and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree.
(Genesis 18:3-4, New International Version-NIV)

  23. Glad you had a lovely time in Fraser's Hill. It looks like a relaxing place to have a break away. The bungalow is very pretty and I'm sure it was comfortable. The gardens and the surrounding land with the badminton court are great facilities too. The flowers are huge compared with same ones that would grow here. Love the tree ferns.
