Lunch At Purple Moon Lover, Canning Garden, Ipoh.

We had earlier planned to take a drive to Sitiawan for a day trip on the 1st May, but it was cancelled at the last minute. So how did we celebrate Labour Day? We celebrated with an ex-colleague of mine. I called her up to invite her and her husband for lunch but only she can make it.

We went to pick up my friend from her house and drove to Canning Garden.  A friend mentioned this place to us and we mistakenly had the impression that this new place serves Western food but it was not. When hubby dropped us in front Purple Moon Lover, there was a slight drizzle. One nice young man came out to us with an umbrella for my friend and I. So caring and thoughtful of them.
It was lunch hour and the place was full. We were shown a bench for us to sit while waiting to be seated. I took this picture while sitting on the bench just outside the entrance.
Managed to take some snapshots of the interior from where we were seated.
Looking out to the front through the glass panel. You can see the opposite shops.
A view of the cashier and cake & bread counters.

We ordered the following items for our lunch.
3 glasses of floral tea @ RM 10.50 per glass (free hot water refill)
They named these "Love At First Sight"
My friend's lunch - Udon Soup With Seaweed @ RM 18.90
The set consists of udon, fish cake, mushrooms, inari skin, sesame salad, slice of cake, mousse cup, fruits vinegar and Japanese pickles.
Hubby's lunch - Teriyaki Chicken (Japanese Fried Chicken) @ RM 15.90
My lunch - Teriyaki Chicken Don @ RM 28.90
The set consists of fried chicken, teriyaki sauce & sesame seeds, rice, miso soup, slice of cake, mousse cup, fruits vinegar and Japanese pickles.
Our lunch (+ 6% GST) = RM 95.20 (approx. $22 usd).
Hubby took these photos of the water feature at the side garden before he went to get the car.
Nice to have a mini waterfall in the garden.
Japanese carps swimming in the pond.
