Wall & Ceiling Art In Ipoh New Town.

We had a nice quiet weekend which was great for some sightseeing. After breakfast, we went to check out some paintings at Jalan Sultan Idris Shah (formerly Brewster Road) in Ipoh new town. We noticed that this row of shops is in the midst of renovation and being painted in attractive colours. Thanks to our friends for informing us about the paintings.

Gerbang Malam - is the place for the town's night market.
Painting found on side wall of a nearby shop.
You will not be able to miss this bright red building opposite the Gerbang Malam junction. The wall and ceiling art is along the front of this row of shops.

Suddenly, as they were drinking from these cups, they saw the fingers
of a man's hand writing on the plaster of the wall opposite the lampstand.
The king himself saw the fingers as they wrote. His face blanched with fear,
and terror gripped him that his knees knocked together
and his legs gave way beneath him.

  12. These are absolutely awesome! It is a rare thing to find murals on ceilings! My favorites are the tree and starry night, and the moon and shooting stars!
