Walking Tour In Ipoh Old Town Part 2

About two weeks ago, I did a post on "Walking Tour In Ipoh Old Town". You can click here to go to the post if you are interested. Today's post is the continuation of the first post.
We are now at Jalan Bijeh Timah where the Hor Yan Hor museum and Han Chin Pet Soo museum are located. I like this painting on the side wall at one end of the Concubine Lane.
As we were walking to our car, we passed by this corner lot which is the other end of Hor Yan Hor museum. There is a welcome sign to Ipoh Booth Cart. We were curious, so we went up the stairs. Here are the photos to show what we saw.
Let us take the choo choo train back in time.
Back to the 90's, 80's, 70's, even to the 60's!
Back to 8th March, 2017 and time 10:10 am.
Recently, we heard that Ipoh is going to have our own Hop-On Hop-Off bus service to take visitors to places of interest in Ipoh. Ipoh will be the 3rd city to introduce this service.
If you want a ride, hop onto the red wheel barrow. The horse is raring to go.
Back to the time when we kids have no smart phones.
This was how we spent time playing with our friends.
One sporting guy acted out the scene for everyone to take snapshots.
Student being disciplined by the school teacher.
How many of you have experienced this?
There are booths with gift items and visitors are free to take pictures.
 Handmade lanterns from can.
Wall lined with drink cans
Paper flowers made from folded paper.
If I am not mistaken, these could be pages from the old phone directory.
Celebrities from yesteryear.
Recycled plastic bottles for the common Money plant or Silver Vine.
Visitors can enter or exit through this side door.
If you have missed the front door, you can still use this way to go up.
Take a swing to relive your childhood days.
Bye! Come visit us again soon!
Here ends our walking tour in Ipoh old town for 2018.

  9. Thanks for sharing! The metal staircase to reach the side door looks flimsy. I would rather walk back to the front door.

  11. I love the drink can and flower wallpapers! All this art is wonderful!! The street signs look very real. And in some of these pictures, I had to look really hard to determine what is real and what is not! I think your first picture is still my favorite, though.
