My initial plan was to stay home and enjoy a nice big bowl of homemade soup for dinner and after that to catch up on my blogs visit and comment. But it was not to be and we ended up joining our friends for a Valentine dinner at Sushi Tei in Ipoh Parade. The decision to eat at Sushi Tei was a last minute decision. I am not familiar with the names of the food we ordered and we left the ordering to our friends. Anyway, the following were what we had for our dinner for 4 people.
This has purple potato in it.
Crispy fried fish skin salad.
Dipping sauce for crispy fish skin - sesame sauce.
These has tuna in the centre.
A bowl of ramen noodle.
Fried rice.
Crispy fried baby crabs.
This looks like mayonnaise, condiment for the crispy fried baby crabs.
Japanese dumplings and dipping sauce.
Our favourite condiment is this ginger pickles.
Tempura (crispy fried vegetables and mushrooms) with dipping sauce.
Sushi Tei @ Ipoh Parade.
Pillars along the glass wall.
After a delightful dinner, we did some walking and window shopping.
We even walked over to the Weil Hotel.
Tea sets display.
Then we bade goodnight to our friends and we parted. A short while later, our friend called to invite us for a drink at STG in Ipoh old town.
Groundnuts decoration at STG.
Coffee with hearts
Iced Sabah Tea with longan.
And a piece of cheese cake to share.
I snapped this picture before getting into our car. At that time I didn't notice that someone was spending some quiet moment by himself at this brightly lit up space. The fountain was not switched on at that time.
On that day you will say, "Praise the Lord!
He was angry with me, but now he comforts me.
See, God has come to save me! I will trust and not be afraid,
for the Lord is my strength and song; he is my salvation.
Oh, the joy of drinking deeply from the Fountain of Salvation!"
(Isaiah 12:1-3, The Living Bible-TLB)
