After our dim sum breakfast, our friend wanted to visit Concubine Lane in Ipoh old town. The weekend crowd was already there and we too joined in as one of the visiting tourists. One of the latest addition and attraction is a Harry Potter inspired cafe. We went in not to sample the food but more of curiosity and also for taking photos. There were many like us just taking snapshots here and there.
Looking out at the old windows of the opposite building.
Posing for snapshot.
Old building given a new look.
Old building given a new look.
Some stopped for a drink and snack.
Looking down, the entrance to the cafe is on the left.
Found this witch flying on a broom on the wall.
Clock on the wall
Phone on the wall
Next, we moved over to the other side of Concubine Lane.
Behind Container Hotel.
You can see this twisted trunk of a plant.
Overhanging vines
This old tree has attached itself to this old building.
Those who use the things of the world
should not become attached to them.
For this world as we know it will soon pass away.
(1 Corinthians 7:31, New Living Translation-NLT)

DeleteAha this is already on my to-visit list. But gosh, so many things in the same place. Traffic and parking must be terrible.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the time. Either you need lots of patience to find a parking or you park further away and be prepared to walk to Concubine Lane.
