Today is the last day of year 2019 and also eve of the New Year 2020. Tonight many will be joining in the countdown to welcome in the New Year. My friends and I have planned for a simple dinner and have yet to decide on where or how to usher in the New Year. For the last post of year 2019, I want to share this simple home cooked dinner with you.
Prawns cooked with garlic, home grown chilies, and light soy sauce.
Steamed home grown eggplants and snake beans, sprinkled with soy sauce, garlic and onion oil.

The following photo was taken when I visited the National Museum.
FLINTLOCK PISTOL - a gun originated from Europe, and widely used in the 15th and 16th century. The Dutch used these guns during their assault on the Portuguese in Melaka.
Bright and cheerful self-propagated periwinkles growing outside my house. It is a hardy plant growing well without much care.
Let him have all your worries and cares,
for he is always thinking about you
and watching everything that concerns you.
(1 Peter 5:7, The Living Bible-TLB)
Thanks for your sharing 😊 happy New year 😊

ReplyDeleteI see people having grand first and last meals of the year. Me, was too busy and was just grateful to have a full tummy. :)
We don't mind what we have for the last or first meal of the year. As long as it is satisfying and everyone enjoyed it.
