Our last dinner get together with these foodie friends was just before the Movement Control Order was implemented. For almost 6 months, we have been very good keeping to our physical distancing. Finally, we decided that we have waited long enough and it was time for another get together.
The dinner get together was held last week and there were only 8 of us. In keeping with the MCO SOP requirements, the biggest table can only accommodate 8 people. We ordered the following dishes and while waiting for dinner to be served, we had a wonderful time of catching up with one another.
Poached chicken (half a chicken) with a very unique sauce.
Fish curry with assorted vegetables.
Very flavourful and different version tong po yoke.
Silky soft tofu with pumpkin sauce.
Baby French beans with salted egg yolk.
Not the dry version we usually come across.
Sweet potato leaves which turned out to be fibrous.
All dishes were swept clean except for this single dish.
The total cost of dinner came to about RM 160.
It was a wonderful evening and everyone enjoyed the dinner.
Thanks for the sweet fellowship and much laughter.
Our friends are already planning for the next dinner get together.
~~~~~
Upon reaching home, there was a beautiful moon shinning brightly over us.
I quickly took out my phone to take this snapshot.
This was taken with hubby's phone.
One more snapshot with hubby's phone.
A beautiful evening with a full moon shining over us.
When I look up into the night skies and see the work of your fingers
- the moon and the stars you have made -
I cannot understand how you can bother with mere puny man,
to pay any attention to him!
And yet you have made him only a little lower than the angels
and placed a crown of glory and honor upon his head.
(Psalm 8:3-5, The Living Bible-TLB)
All the dishes are my favourites, the chicken, the curry fish, the tong po yoke and the pumpkin sauce tofu, yums! You guys really know how to select the dishes.
