This was a Friday evening. 6 friends got together for a dinner outing. For this evening, we want to try something different from our usual Chinese cuisine. Someone recommended a fusion restaurant called This Dish Restaurant serving Indonesian cuisine, located at 28 & 30, Jalan Medan Ipoh 4, Bandar Baru Medan, Ipoh.
Nice and cute candle holder on the table.
Wall decoration.
The place was dimly lit.
~~~~~
Once we were seated, we ordered our food with the help of one of the staff.
This was free appetizer (on the house).
Yummy sambal to go with the crackers.
Tender chicken satay with peanut sauce.
Aubergine/eggplant/bringjal with different type of sambal on each side.
Ayam rempah (chicken) with a very unique sauce on the sweet side.
Paku pakis (fern) with sambal.
Fried rice served with an egg and crackers.
Fried rice vermicelli.
Crispy deep fried Red Tilapia served with sambal.
This is more of a food tasting since the 6 of us shared out the food.
Next, we moved on to another place for Chinese rojak as dessert.
Taste and see that the LORD is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
(Psalm 34:8, New Living Translation-NLT)
