This was Tuesday, 8th day of Chinese New Year. It was raining the whole of Monday night until the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
Morning sky at 7:10am.
The rain has stopped and we had our morning walk. We walked a big round and ended up at one of the coffee shop for breakfast.
Fried rice vermicelli with prawns and egg.
This is the first time I ordered from this fried noodle stall.
Hubby ordered rolled chee cheong fun with yam bean filling. He added 2 pieces of fish cake. He found the fish cake too salty for his liking.
Morning sky at 8:16am.
We walked home after breakfast. The sky remained gloomy for the whole day.

Dinner for 2 people.
I dug out the above package from the freezer. It was a smoked duck bone-in leg. I can't even remember where I bought it from.
Shredded yam bean cooked with garlic, dried shrimp, shredded carrot and garlic. Seasoning: salt, oyster sauce, light sauce.
This was our dinner with brown rice porridge.
Some smoked duck is very salty but not this one.
Will buy this again.
For a soul is far too precious to be ransomed by mere earthly wealth.
There is not enough of it in all the earth to buy eternal life
for just one soul, to keep it out of hell.
(Psalm 49:8-9, The Living Bible-TLB)
the porridge goes well with smoked duck leg! yummzz!
ReplyDeleteYes, very yummy.
DeleteFried vermicelli for me!! It looked good.
ReplyDeleteIt was supposed to be good but it has a bit of burnt smell and I think they add too much to the soy sauce because it left a weird aftertaste on my tastebuds.
DeleteYes, I agree with Rose, fried bihun looks good. I think I can smell the wok hei!
ReplyDeleteI had smoked duck before, boneless. First time seeing it on the bone like that.
I have had whole smoked duck with bones and also smoked duck breast meat. Some are quite salty but this smoked duck thigh is not very salty, just nice.
DeleteWow, that sure is a stunning first pic!
ReplyDeleteI will copy you. Once we retire we will do the same!
