This was a lovely morning.
Started our morning walk at about 6:40am.
6:50am.
This was before the hot and humid days.

We haven't been to Bai Nong coffee shop for a long time. After we have done our rounds of morning walk, we stopped at this coffee shop for breakfast. Before they shifted here, they were at the shop opposite the Batu Pahat goldsmith shop in Ipoh old town.
I ordered 4 fish balls and 4 meat balls to share.
They added the spring onion once they realized they have left it out.
I ordered 1 bowl of koay teow in clear soup. I only took a few mouthful and the rest finished by hubby. Hubby even finished off the clear soup because it was tasty. He didn't feel thirsty so that means the soup is not overload with msg.
Unsweetened coffee with evaporated milk (kopi C kosong).
Both of us are cutting down on coffee, so we share 1 cup of coffee.
We were the early birds, so the place is not crowded.
~~~~~
The following photos showed the old place that we used to go for our beef tripe soup. Now the business has shifted new location.
This old building will be torn down and a new one will be erected. We happened to pass by here, so I snapped a few photos. Even before the business shifted, the place was very run down.
Don't know how long it will take for the new building to be completed.
But you, dear friends, must build up your lives ever more strongly
upon the foundation of our holy faith,
learning to pray in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.
DeleteI love anything and everything in clear soup! That kway teow looks good...and the fish balls too. Would love a bit of tang hoon with the fish balls.
Deletei m drooling over the kuey teow soup with plump beansprout!
ReplyDeleteYes, you can always find plump beansprout in Ipoh.
DeleteTwo persons sharing one bowl of Noodle in Clear Soup With Fish and Meat Balls sound about right. Later can eat other food. More variety to enjoy. What did you both eat for lunch after that?
ReplyDeleteI can't remember what we had for lunch. Usually it is some light snacks for me.
DeleteThe fish and meatballs look yummi!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Duta.
DeleteBeautiful sunrise. Sad about the run down place...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Iris. Hope it will be replaced by a new one soon.
DeleteI prefer less or no msg in soup. The fish balls looked huge.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the natural taste than the msg in soup. It will give me headache.
DeleteIt is sad to watch an old building fall down, you know it was built with high hopes and someone's dreams. This one, obviously, has served its purpose and needs to go.
Yes, this one is falling apart and no longer safe.
DeleteLooks yum😃!
