Beef Rice, Mee Sua, Pork Porridge & Carrot Noodle At Restoran Wing Hoong Lapan, Ipoh

Some days I have the mood to cook and some days I just don't feel like cooking and this is one of those lazy days. We planned to eat at Restoran Wing Hoong Lapan which we came to know that it has shifted to a new location. We used to patronize this eatery at its old location opposite a church at Jalan Yang Kalsom, Ipoh.

Restoran Wing Hoong Lapan,
16, Jalan Centrepoint 1, Jalan Bharu, Off Jalan Tokong, Ipoh.
This place serves porridge, noodles and rice.
On a closer look, these are roses hanging from above.
This was painted on the left pillar.
And this was on the right pillar.
Nice and comfortable interior.

We ordered the following for 4 people.
Friend A ordered Chu Chap Chuk (mixed pork & innards rice porridge).
Friend B ordered mixed pork & innards with carrot noodle.
Hubby ordered beef rice.
I ordered beef with noodle (mee sua) soup.
We ordered 2 plates of poached chicken.
Total bill = RM50.60.

The following photos were taken when we visited Penang about a month ago.
McNair Place is a Bed & Breakfast located quite near to the hotel we were staying in. This place provides an exciting heritage experience offering rooms that are fully air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms.
Located in the same vicinity of shopping malls, nightlife, hawker food centers and a short stroll away from the city center of Georgetown, Penang.
Peace Lily blooming in my garden.

But all who humble themselves before the Lord
shall be given every blessing and shall have wonderful peace.
(Psalm 37:11, The Living Bible-TLB)

  3. Beef mee sua? That's one thing I've never tried. I do enjoy Bovril mee sua though - mee sua tossed in Bovril. Very nice!

  9. That looks like a nice place to eat. The beef and rice is familiar. We eat it here in Hawaii.

  13. Thank you Nancy for sharing so many photos of the decor of the shop. Between Beef Rice, Mee Sua, Pork Porridge & Carrot Noodle At Restoran Wing Hoong Lapan, Ipoh, my choice would be a bit of all four. What is carrot noodle? Noodle made from carrots?
