Dinner With Friends At Seafood Recipe, Ipoh.

After a wonderful dinner at Restoran Seafood Recipe, we recommended this restaurant to our friends. They were interested and suggested that we join them for dinner and with more people, we can order more dishes to try. That day started with a lovely blue and pink sky.

 Morning sky at 7:00 am.

We booked a table for 8 people, dinner at 7:00 pm.

 Decoration on the wall near to our table.

 Grilled garlic eggplant or purple brinjal - RM12.

We requested for this eggplant to be cut into 8 small pieces.

 Instead of fish head, we ordered fish fillet curry - RM 60.

 Stir fried sweet potato leaves with garlic.

 Creamy salted egg crabs.

There is a promotion - 3 crabs for RM 48.

The crabs can be cooked according to our preference.

 Crab and egg omelette served with fresh lettuce.

The lettuce to wrap the omelette.

 Sweet sour chicken breast meat - RM 20.

I can't remember the exact price of every dish.
Total cost of dinner for 8 people - RM 192.

To end this post, I like to share this picture of my friend's white orchid flowers. I like orchids but I am not good in growing orchids.

A Day Trip To Sitiawan And Teluk Batik, Perak

On Saturday we made a one day trip to Sitiawan, Teluk Batik and Lumut. We made a similar trip with the same family about 13 years ago.

  We started at about 10.20 am.

Altogether there were 10 of us, 7 adults and 3 children.

 We travelled in 2 cars.

The morning was bright and sunny. The sky was blue with white clouds.

It was a leisure drive and the traffic was light.

 We reached Kampung Cina at about 11.30 am.

We were the first customers at this seafood restaurant.

 We ordered a bottle of toddy palm or palm wine and some young coconuts as starter. The toddy palm was very fresh and fragrant. It tasted sweet too.

 Fried oyster omelette or "Oh Chien". This is the crispy version.

A bowl of misua or mee sua with red rice wine and chicken soup.

Misua or mee sua is a type of Chinese salted noodle made from wheat flour.

 A local confinement dish for women after giving birth.

Crispy deep fried cuttlefish.

 Plain steamed fish.

Sweet sour mud craps.

 Mud crab cooked with salted egg.

We also order a plated of fried misua and a plate of green veggie.

 From Kampung Cina we drove to Teluk Batik. That will be for the next post. After Teluk Batik, we drove on to Lumut.
