Places Of Interest In Ipoh Old Town #2

Today's post is the continuation of Places of Interest in Ipoh Old Town #1. I know to some of you, these photos are not new to you. You may have seen them in other blogs, so please excuse me for this posting. These photos were taken when I took my friends around to see the wall murals and paintings in Ipoh Old Town.
These places are near or behind Plan B & Restoran Kong Heng.

An antique safe

for anyone wanting to experience an old fashioned hair cut.

Anyone wants to play a game of hopscotch?
Painting of Marilyn Monroe.
This place looks so comfy.

Tin mining - dulang washers.

On the side wall of Restoran Sin Lean Lee, Jalan Bandar Timah.
Jalan Tun Sambathan, car park area opposite Maybank.

My mobile phone camera could not get a good shot of these packets of iced black coffee on the wall. These packets look so real!

Painting of a tin dredge - where Jalan Panglima meets Jalan Bijeh Timah.

The famous Concubine Lane - view from Jalan Bijeh Timah.

A toast to the "good old days!" - Jalan Bijeh Timah.

Opposite Ipoh Tourist Information Centre, Jalan Tun Sambathan.

Jalan Sheikh Adam, side lane besides Standard Chartered Bank.

I said, "Oh, that I had the wings of a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest -
I would flee far away and stay in the desert;
I would hurry to my place of shelter,
far from the tempest and storm."
(Psalm 55:6-8, New International Version-NIV)

  4. Nice murals on the old buildings. We still have those old barbers shop around. They still survive in this tough and fast moving world.
