Hong Kong, Day 4 - Breakfast At Mong Kok.
We started our day very early. As usual, Pete, who is always very punctual arrived at our apartment on time and we all walked to the MTR station, to have our breakfast at Mong Kok.
And we were here, a very busy place.
In the news - a popular place, highly recommended.
The same one who appeared in the newspaper.
I think these are the set menus.
Menus pasted on the wall.
If I am not mistaken, I think Pete ordered on of the above set.
Yummy pies or tarts in the warmer.
Egg tarts, freshly baked from the oven.
One of the hottest selling items on the menu - the Polo buns! Can smell the oven fresh aroma of these Polo buns.
Super oomph iced tea with milk - one of our friend fell in love with this!
My cup of hot tea with milk. Very oomph!!!
So, what did Pete ordered for us?
All the food ordered are to be shared among the seven of us.
First, the different noodle varieties...
Preserved salted mustard (char choy in Cantonese) with noodle in soup.
Preserved salted vegetables with noodle in soup.
Ham with hollow pasta in soup.
Luncheon ham with rice vermicelli in soup.
BBQ meat (char siew) with noodle in soup.
Sausage, luncheon ham and egg.
Four Polo buns with thick butter slices.
These are cut into halves - look at the butter slices.
The top crust of the Polo buns are crispy, the inside soft and fluffy.
We get to taste a bit of everything.
And last but not least, we had an egg tart each. Look at the thickness of the egg custard, its silky soft, so delicious!!!

And a tree producing an inedible kind
can't produce what is good.
So the trees having the inedible fruit are
chopped down and thrown on the fire.
