Hong Kong, Day 2 - Tai O Fishing Village.
From Ngong Ping Village, we took a bus to Tai O Fishing Village. Again, please excuse the poor quality photos.
It was a very hot afternoon.
A brief write up on Tai O Fishing Village.

Houses on stilts.
Wooden bridge leading to house on stilts.
Live fishes in plastic basins.
Stalls selling dried foodstuffs from the sea.
Thick fleshy cuttlefish.
Cuttlefish balls (approx. MYR 7.00 per piece) and big fish balls (approx. MYR 6.00 per piece).

Narrow concrete walkway between the rows of houses. Come walk with me and let the pictures speak for themselves.

We noticed quite a number of houses using stainless steel door and door frame.
We took a turn onto Tai Ping Street.
Elderly folks relaxing under the shady tree.
More houses on stilts across the water.
These furry friends didn't even take any notice of those who walked past.
It was a short visit for us as we only visited a few places. Once again we hopped onto the bus as we had a dinner appointment with Pete's family.

Mun, I didn't eat any fish or cuttlefish ball because I was still very full after the dessert. If you are going, do try to visit the other attractions, we missed those places.

ReplyDeleteKathy, we didn't lor. Some items were cheaper there after comparing the prices. But after discussing among ourselves, we decided not to buy any because the difference is not much. Not worth the trouble of carrying back the stuffs.
