Hong Kong, Day 3 - Hong Kong to Macau.
A day trip to Macau. After a hearty breakfast at the market, it was time to make the move. We will be meeting up with the rest of our group at the Hong Kong - Macau Ferry Terminal.
At the MTR Kowloon Bay Station, I noticed that Hong Kong people walk very fast. When using the escalator, always stand on the right side to leave the left side free for those who are on the hurry.

Here are some of the snapshots I have taken on the ferry ride between Hong Kong and Macau.
Shun Tak Centre - China Merchants Tower.
I managed to get a seat next to the window.
Some like me were taking photos, some were checking their mobile phones.
Some took the opportunity to rest or catch up on their forty winks.
The ferry ride took about an hour depending on the sea condition.
The ferry can take in a few hundred passengers.
It was a cloudy day, at times gloomy.
We were on the Turbojet Ferry.
Pete was pointing out all the important buildings to us.
But I couldn't remember most of them, sorry Pete....
Out in the open sea, the ride was smooth and none of us suffered any sea sickness.

We have these two young friends entertaining us with their playful teasing and chatters while travelling on the MTR.

Hi Sandee, initially I was a bit nervous because of the length of the journey but I overcame it. So glad that I didn't get sea sick. I enjoy the ferry ride very much.

DeleteDuring the last trip, my girl was vomiting like mad in the ferry... I neatly threw up too..maybe due to the chugging waves then... We dint get to see what you saw....
ReplyDeleteIt could be the rough sea. Our ferry ride to and from Macau were quite smooth. The ferry we were in were very big and more stable too!

DeleteBrilliant photos. The buildings were amazing. I noticed that as you approached the building the water changed from a blue to a brown. Why is it that way? I also noticed cruise ships. Where do they go? I ask a lot of questions, don't I?
