Shopping For A Mini Fountain & Plants.

Last Wednesday, 2 friends from Batu Gajah came to Ipoh and one of them wanted to have a look at some of the mini fountains at some of the pottery shops along Jalan Kuala Kangsar. Our appointment was about 9.30 am.

As usual, hubby and I went for our morning exercise at the park.
After that, we took breakfast at our friend's shop. I ordered a glutinous rice dumpling and "kopi C kosong" for myself. It is coffee with evaporated milk, without sugar.
What was inside the dumpling? It has 2 pieces of black mushrooms, pork, mung beans, salted egg yolk, etc. MYR 5.20 (approx. 1.35 USD).
Black coffee w/o sugar & BBQ pork noodle for hubby.
After breakfast, went home to water my plants, took  a quick bath and waited for my friends from Batu Gajah to come pick me from my house. And we picked up another friend on the way.
I accompanied my friends for breakfast and I ordered a plate of fruits to share out with my friends. We stopped at the first pottery shop and took a look around.
How about this 6 levels fountain on a stand.
What about this white cute one with only 3 levels.
Pretty but needs constant washing.
Finally, my friend decided on this one minus the bottom bowl and the stand. It came to about MYR100 - inclusive of a pump.
Took a snapshot of this cute wall clock to share with Tuesday's Treasure.
After that, we visited a few nurseries and at our last stop, we bought some potted plants.
I bought this Begonia plant because I couldn't resist it.
MYR 12 for this pot (approx. 3.11 USD).
These desert rose plants were germinated from seeds and we wouldn't know the flower colour until they bloom. These were selling at MYR6 for a plant and I blindly picked 3 plants for MYR18. Hope they will grow into mature plants with beautiful blooms. We finally left the nursery with my friend's car packed with plants, gardening soil and etc.

Linking to Tuesday's Treasure.

Let us stop going over the same old ground again and again,
always teaching those first lessons about Christ.
Let us go on instead to other things and
become mature in our understanding,
as strong Christians ought to be.
Surely we don't need to speak further about the
foolishness of trying to be saved by being good,
or about the necessity of faith in God.
(Hebrews 6:1, TLB)

  12. Oh I love the color of that Begonia plant. I wouldn't be able to resist that one either. I think that you'll be running out of place to grow plants outdoors and will have to start planting inside soon, lol... Getting new plants can be such an addiction, they are so beautiful and different. I love love plants too...

I love fountains and we have several, but aren't using them right now. We're in a severe drought so using water is a no-no.

Love all the plants. Most beautiful.

Have a fabulous day Nancy. ☺

  23. Oh that rice dumpling isn't cheap even at your end. I've been wondering why when the ingredients don't cost that much. And it's not THAAAT much work to make.

Quite exciting to wait and see what kind of flowers pop up will from the desert roses!

    1. That is the average cost of rice dumplings in Ipoh. But at least this has enough ingredients for the amount we pay for. Now I am looking for the slightest sign of flowers, very exciting!
