One morning after a night's of heavy downpour, we went for our walk at the recreational park. Found some wild mushrooms and spider lilies at the park. The other flowers are from my garden.

DeleteOh yes, I do remember how mushrooms will pop up everywhere when it rains. I used to be so fascinated by them. Your flowers are doing very well, Nancy!
ReplyDeletePhong Hong, I am still fascinated by them. These flowers are doing well in the rainy season but some have died because of too much rain.
DeleteBeautiful blooms.
ReplyDeleteNot often we see a new petrol station down here..great to see.
Thank you, Margaret. Found this petrol station along one of the trunk road. Have a wonderful day!

DeleteLovely shots. I love walking in the park after rain but got to be careful of the slippery walkway.
ReplyDeleteTo be safe, have to wear proper walking shoes. Our walking path is of tar road, so it is safe to walk even when it is wet.
DeleteMushrooms always seem to appear after a heavy rain fall. Beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mamas. Some of the mushrooms are very common but sometimes we get to see very rare mushrooms too.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom. The colour is very bright and striking.
DeleteAre the wild mushrooms edible?
ReplyDeleteAn elderly uncle told me they are edible but no one dare pick them.
DeleteCould you tell us the names of the flowers? I think the bright one with folds is a coxcomb but the white one is nothing that I recognize. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi Kay, the white flower is the Hymenocallis White Spider Lily. Have a great day!
DeleteBless you, I see the names of both flowers there now. Were they there this morning and I didn't see them? Guess I needed a cup of coffee! :-) They are both lovely but that white flower, it made me say "OH WOW".
DeleteKay, so sorry, its nothing to do with your cup of coffee. Initially, the names of the flowers were not there, you saw correctly. After your 1st comment, I saw a need to add in the caption and name all the flowers. Have a beautiful day!
DeleteYou saw a lot of beautiful and interesting things on your walk Nancy. Thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteSince I started blogging, I am now a more observant person ha ha...looking for treasures to share! Lol!
DeleteFascinating textures in the mushrooms, and such pretty blooms.
ReplyDeleteThank you, William. One of the passer-by told me the mushrooms can be eaten but no one dare take his word seriously.
