A friend posted some food pictures and the below menu on our Whatsapp group chat and we all got interested. Nothing happened until one afternoon when a friend mentioned the same place again and we all agreed to have dinner there. So middle of last month, 3 families of 7 people were game to have a try.
None of us has been there, so we need to google to get an idea of the location. We even called the contact number provided and asked for any outstanding landmark.
The view is facing Jalan Selasar Rokam 32. Taman Ipoh Jaya.
It is a corner shop and this is the front side view.
This is the back side view.
This is the view facing Jalan Selasar Rokam 38, which was printed on the menu.
A friend brought her own special tea. The set menu was picked and there was some addition to the menu which I was not paying attention to.
Clay pot fish head curry with egg plant, okra, long beans, cabbage, tomatoes, etc.
Sweet potato leaves stir fried with garlic.
Deep fried chicken.
Sambal belacan (shrimp paste) petai (stinking beans) with prawns and onions.
Egg omelette.
Tofu with minced meat and wood fungus strips.
We were sweating even with the fan going full speed and we were thankful for the last item - iced cold canned lychee.
For everything God made is good,
and we may eat it gladly if we are thankful for it,
and if we ask God to bless it,
for it is made good by the Word of God and prayer.
