Red Frangipani Blooming In My Garden.

Previously, I posted about my Yellow Frangipani plant from my garden. You can click here to read or view the flowers. Today, I am posting about my Red Frangipani plant that was given to me by my brother-in-law when it was a baby plant.
Thanks to my brother-in-law and sister for giving this plant to me.
This is the first stalk of flowers after being adopted into my garden.
The plant is now about 3 feet tall.
The colour is dark red but sometimes it appears to be purplish red.
This plant is grown in a flower pot. I placed it next to the Water Jasmine plant. The white flowers are the Water Jasmine flowers.
Frangipani plants are easy to grow and maintain as long as they get enough of sunlight. Over watering can do harm to the plants. The soil must be of good drainage.
This red blooms help to brighten up my front garden.
To control its height and encourage more branches to get more flowers, I intend to cut the branches back when they grow too tall.
With a shorter plant, I can easily see and enjoy the beautiful blooms.
The flowers have 5 petals and when I sniffed the flower, I can smell a light fragrance.
I love Frangipani because the flowers come in big clusters.
And the flower stalks continue to bring forth new flowers for quite a long time.
When a man makes a jar out of clay,
doesn't he have a right to use the same lump of clay
to make one jar beautiful, to be used for holding flowers,
and another to throw garbage into?
(Romans 9:21, The Living Bible-TLB)

    1. Initially, I didn't really like the plants because they can grow very tall and that was before I thought of growing them in pots.

  23. The colour is a beautiful deep red. But why isn't the flower 'straight'? The petals seem to be curled backwards.

    1. Thank you, Stacy. The newly opened flowers will have open petals. The ones which seem to curled backwards are ones that are not new ones.
